Interface
Interface programs, like mods, are special programs that alter select abilities in the avatar itself. Be it enhancing one or several skills or statistics, weakening said statistics, or locking them down, these programs can give an edge, or be the end of an avatar's fight. However, unlike mods, interface programs are only temporary, and require time between each use, and there isn't any early shut-down between activations. Interfacing with an avatar other than the owner of the program will require a tactile link, to transfer the active buffer to someone else. For more rules for Interface program uses and rules, see the link provided here.
Stronger effects; less time.
Unlike mods, who have less of a boost, but can be toggled on and off; Interface programs, specifically buffs and debuffs, are more powerful programs that offer a much more effective boost to avatars and digital life as a whole; offering as much as a total accumulative boost percentage of 50%, twice that of the 25% boost that a mod offers on its own. However, due to the more potent performance, this also means there is a time delay on the programs themselves.
Buffs and Debuffs
Buffering interface programs do exactly what the category says it does: It will enhance specific areas of expertise in the target, and give them an edge in any one of the same state fields that the CAS mod system will give alterations to; speed, accuracy, power, technical, and durability. This boost will only be active for the duration of the program
De-Buffering interface programs will do the complete opposite of what a buffering program can offer, reducing the same stats listed and weakening the target considerably. Like buffering, de-buffs last for the duration of the program, then the avatar returns to normal.
Up to 50% boost, no more: Buffs and debuffs only offer a total of up to 50% boost or reduction in all stats, causing many to think hard about where any alterations will go. So, if someone were to have a mod that already boosted the avatar's speed, and applied it both were active together. If the mod had a 25% boost, the interface program would only offer an additional 25% to add to the existing boost readily available, maxing the boost up to 50%, what an interface program is built to handle.

Lockdown programs
Sometimes, an opponent just has that one trump card that you can't fight back against. Lockdown effects will force a weapon or augmentation to completely shut down all of its effects, simply by making contact with the weapon or portion where the augmentation is present. Similar to the functions of cryptolocker, interface programs will simply lock a program down until a set time has passed, and the program has time to reboot itself. This is commonly done by deactivating the programs and reactivating it for use again. This program makes highly effective cutting weapons dull like a butter knife, and pistols and ranged weapon don't do anything at all.
