This is the one place where avatars can compete in government approved tournaments, for prizes and fame. The African Arena sports a slightly different style of battle simulation. These simulations normally take the form of savannas, oases, egyptian treasure rooms, and tropical jungles. These arena battles are more open world than isolated, and opponents can interchange at random, depending on the location of each avatar. Unlike most arenas, the use of connectivity Programs are allowed for fast travel within the current simulation, and contestants are given a mini-map with nonspecific indicators for each fighter. This allows for faster encounters, and less waiting between battles for viewers. The tournaments in the African arena are normally last man standing, and multi-man battles are permitted, so only the most experienced or well known fighters are invited to sign up.
