Personality: Huntress' personality largely depends on what company she's keeping at the moment. When among friends or those she cares for, she is sarcastic, flirtatious, and incredibly confident in her looks and abilities. But, instead of appearing arrogant, Huntress manages to usually come off as self-assured, despite her boasting.
Then there is her persona around superiors, or those she considers above her, she becomes all business, tactful and in complete control of her emotions, a far cry from the joking attitude that she displays among her friends.
But possibly the most unnerving, or even terrifying part of her is "The Hunter", what she calls her fighting persona. Huntress almost becomes unrecognizable, a cold and detached killer who blows an enemy to dust with the same amount of concern for their mortality as one would hold for an insect. This does not extend to her comrades however, as she will instantly obliterate anything that harms a team mate before returning to her own foe.
Overall, Huntress' personality is almost fragmented, compartmentalized portions of a whole being that are held together by her willpower and drive to stamp out the wicked from the cyber world.
History: Huntress is an old avatar, easily over 50 years old, and time has not slowed her down one bit. She was born out in the Antarctic wastes, which were a hive of viruses and murderous rogue avatars, even back then. Huntress was forced to quickly learn a fact of life, if you aren't willing to kill to survive, than you will not last long in battle, and she was good at killing.
She was unusually powerful for an avatar, her code having been culled from a land that was soaked in the data of millions of beings that lost in the never ending battle for survival that was life in the Antarctic network. she was gifted with great strength, powerful weapons, and an aggressive streak a mile wide and ten miles deep.
Huntress quickly established a reputation, leaving the antarctic wastes after a decade of simply wandering about and slaughtering anything stupid enough to pick a fight with her. she came to the North American cyber city, and set about doing what she did best, culling opponents. She was a star in the Arena circuit for a couple of years, before being banned for excessive force, she always fought to kill, no matter what kind of limitations were put on the match.
This behavior is what put her in the NPD's crosshairs, and not even a month after being banned, she was approached with an offer. "Join the NPD and fight criminals, or be hounded forever as a potential threat." Huntress didn't hesitate, joining the NPD on the spot. She quickly excelled, rising through the ranks until, 4 years after joining, she was made commissioner, a record that still has not been broken.
After becoming commissioner, Huntress struck up a kinship with an avatar named Shepard, who was something of an outcast, her operator having been a member of the TIU during the Times Square incident. But Huntress saw something in the young avatar, a kind of fire, a hunger to prove herself that reminded the Commissioner of herself back in her youth. She chose to take Shepard under her wing, molding her from a youthful scrapper into a powerful and dangerous fighter.
Huntress and Shepard became inseparable, practically joined at the hip for years, until a fateful day split the two of them apart, an event that would give them both deep scars that would never truly heal. They attempted to capture a notorious criminal named Brigadier, and in the process, Huntress was badly wounded trying to protect Shepard. Huntress was thought dead, and Brigadier escaped.
But Huntress did not fall in battle, she was captured by Brigadier and tortured for over a decade abused over and over, with only one member of Brigadier's crew, a young man named Sylux, treating her like anything more than a toy to be played with.
But Huntress did not break, her shame, her humiliation was turned to anger and rage, a burning fuel that kept her sane throughout it all, and her determination was rewarded when Shepard, now a commissioner herself, came to her rescue alongside the rest of the NY-NPD.
Huntress hasn't missed a beat, returning to active duty in the wake of her rescue, there's a war raging after all, and Huntress can rest once Abraxas and his generals are put down like the mad dogs they are. Huntress has caught the scent of her new prey, and god help anyone foolish enough to try and stop her from taking them down...
Add-Ons: Hunter Armor: Huntress' armor is essentially a walking armory, with powerful shields, durable plating, and integrated weapons and scanning equipment that can detect trace particles in the air or locate a weakness in an enemy's armor. The armor also has several Downloaded Programs on hand, making it useful in many capacities. Huntress' armor grants her 50% damage resistance when activated.
Combat - Arm Cannon: Huntress' main weapon is an arm cannon that is directly tied into her armor. The cannon is capable of firing several different beam attacks, each with their own unique properties. However, the system is not perfect, Huntress is only capable of using one cannon type per post, and she is only capable of switching weapons once per post as well.
The Arm cannon's main beam variant is the Power Beam, The Power Beam is a rapid fire, mid range, and low damage weapon, capable of firing a burst of 5 rounds every post, dealing a small amount of damage per shot, with a full burst dealing a moderate mount of damage if all the shots connect. The Power Beam has no special properties aside from the burst fire function.
When Huntress needs a long range weapon against an armored foe, she reaches for her Plasma Beam. The Plasma Beam fires a single bolt of high intensity ionized gas, this bolt deals a large amount of damage and is capable of burning through even the thickest of armor plating without any trouble, as well as possessing a great amount of range before dispersing. However, the beam is incapable of rapid fire, only allowing one shot per post.
Huntress' final beam weapon is the Wave Beam, a mid range, moderately damaging beam that delivers a potent burst of electrical current when striking it's target. This burst of electricity is capable of stunning even the hardiest of Avatars, locking up their motor functions and leaving them wide open to a follow up attack. The Wave Beam deals a moderate amount of damage per shot, and is capable of stunning a target for 2 posts (Whether or not the target is stunned is up to the Target Player.)
Combat - Missile Launcher: Huntress' arm cannon is also capable of launching small Fire-and-Forget missiles at her foes. These missiles have enough explosive power to damage an opponents armor, lowering it's defensive properties for a short period while also dealing a large amount of damage. Each missile lowers an opponent's armor effectiveness by 10% with each hit. (So, an opponent with 50% damage resistance only has 40% if hit, another hit reduces it to 30%, and so on. Note that an opponent's defense rating cannot go into the negatives, once the opponent reaches 0%, they simply take full damage until their armor is restored.) however with each post that goes without being hit by another missile, the target will automatically repair 5% of damage done following the post that the target gets hit with the missile, and each successful hit will simply add 10% reduced protection as normal.
Here's an example:
The Missiles only effect the target struck, they possess no blast radius whatsoever.
Combat - Scan Visor: Huntress' helmet has a wide variety of visual filters, the Scan Visor allows her to identify enemy Add-Ons, DP's, and weak points in an opponent's code, allowing her to deal double damage by attacking these weak points.
Downloaded Programs: Combat - Cast-Off: This DP was specially requested by Huntress, based off of a system designed for a prototype set of Rider Armor designed by The Doctor. This DP allows Huntress to shed her armor's plating, reducing her defenses to zero (AKA: she takes full damage from all attacks). However, this reduction in armor grants her a tremendous boost in speed, allowing her to move 3 times faster than normal.
Combat - Gunship Bombing Run: This DP activates a remote targeting program tied into her Gunship's weapon and guidance systems. When activated, Huntress can order a strafing run with her Gunship's cannons and rocket Batteries. This attack is incredibly powerful and requires a large amount of processing power, as such, this DP uses up 3 DP slots. The bombing run deals an extreme amount of damage in a swath 10 feet wide and 25 feet long, and a 8 post cooldown is required before it can be used again.
Combat - Cluster Missile: Huntress is able to overclock her arm cannon's missile launcher, allowing her to fire a burst of 10 seeker missiles at either several targets or one target. The missiles deal a large amount of damage each, and if a target is struck by all 10, they suffer from extreme damage. This DP requires a 3 post cooldown before it can be used again.
