Name: Hecate
Avatar Style: Combat
Gender: Female
Appearance: link
User: None
Personality: Hecate is, to put it bluntly, insane. Every waking thought, every impulse that drives her, is focused on pleasing Abraxas, and she will torture, maim, and butcher anyone who gets in her way without a flicker of remorse or pity. Hecate is also rather arrogant, seeing herself as the only one who is "worthy" of standing beside Abraxas in his quest to conquer the digital world.
As such, she sees the other generals as nothing more than subordinate allies at best, or pawns to be disposed of at worst. She is also incredibly confident in her power, possessing a large ego, however, this ego is easily shattered when an opponent manages to resist her spells or injure her sufficiently.
While others might freeze or become hysterical, Hecate loses what little sense she possesses and flies into a psychotic rage when her ego is bruised, and will being torturing her opponent in whatever way she can, including maiming their loved ones, or manipulating their friends into being killed or injured. This sadistic behavior, combined with her obsession with being the most powerful general, makes Hecate the most mentally unstable of the generals, hiding her cruel and sadistic behavior behind a haughty, teasing mask.
History: Hecate was born in the underground network, springing forth from a wellspring of corrupted viral code that has long since been scrubbed from the face of the net. This corrupted code is what made Hecate so deranged, and for a span of three years, Hecate's every waking moment was spent obliterating anything in her path in the cruelest, most painful manner possible. Men, Women, Rogues or Registered, no avatar was safe from her psychotic rage.
Not even other viruses were immune, as Hecate would regularly cannibalize any viruses that were stupid or unfortunate enough to cross her path, absorbing their power and eventually gaining the ability to infect them with a zombie virus from a distance, preserving her existence in the event of deletion.
She gained her other powers as well, elemental conjuration, barrier projection, minor mental infiltration abilities and more...all of them gained by bringing a virus to it's knees and quite literally eating it alive, stripping away it's code until not even the framework was left. This is how she came to find Abraxas, having come across him Caesar and Thorn one day, Hecate assaulted the trio, attempting to rip Abraxas' throat out with her teeth.
Abraxas easily managed to subdue Hecate, using his superior speed and strength to wear her down. But, instead of killing and consuming Hecate, he granted her a gift, he gave her sanity...or what passed for sanity with Abraxas. He turned her urge to kill and consume, into an urge to conquer and dominate. Her lust for carnage and pain, became a borderline sexually sadistic love for tormenting her foes physically and mentally.
When the process was finished, Hecate was born anew. While still deranged and sadistic, her madness was focused, and she had gained self-awareness. Hecate swore her eternal loyalty (and love) to Abraxas, who took her on as a general.
Add-Ons: Combat - Mage Armor: Hecate's armor, while already incredibly protective, has been modified with both her magic and several developed patches that make it incredibly deadly. The armor is immune to acids and poisons, and doubles Hecate's speed and strength, as well as providing a 50% reduction in damage dealt by non-armor piercing ammunition or weapons.
Combat - Data-Blade: Hecate's data-blade takes the form of a Falchion. It is approximately 3-4 feet long, and possessing a single edged blade and a point well suited for stabbing an opponent. The blade is heavy, doling out deep wounds in flesh and allowing the blade to dent or outright breach an opponent's armor if it's thin enough. This Add-On deals moderate damage per strike.
Combat - Elemental Conjuration: This is Hecate's main ranged attack. Using her skill with Magical incantations and runes, Hecate is capable of unleashing hellish elemental spells at her opponents, each elemental spell had a different property, damage amount and dispersal pattern, which will be listed at the bottom of this profile. Hecate can only cast one elemental spell per post.
Combat - Glyph Shield: This shield program allows Hecate to block even the most powerful of attacks, however, it can only be used once every other post (not counting the post that it was activated.) and can only protect her from one direction (either above, the front, back, left or right.).
Connectivity - Portal Conjuration: Another potent conjuration spell, Hecate is capable of ripping open rifts in Space and transporting herself as well as 10 other beings from one location to the next. However, she must know the general location of her destination to travel there, and she cannot bypass a firewall unless it is of moderate protection level or lower.
Downloaded Programs: Combat - Resurrection: This ability is Hecate's escape from death, much like Zeus and Abraxas, Hecate has found a way to infect other beings with a zombie virus that contains a virulent copy of her data, when she is deleted, the virus activates, and the unfortunate host is torn apart from the inside out while she emerges unscathed from her living cocoon. This DP allows Hecate to remain in play despite being deleted, she must infect the host prior to being deleted for the resurrection program to activate. She is not able to infect player characters.
Combat - Mind Shard: This spell allows Hecate to peer into an opponent's mind, showing her their desires, fears, and most importantly...their weak points. When this program is activated, Hecate can scan one target and learn of points to attack that deal double damage to them. This can only be done once every 4 turns.
Combat - Necromancy: *PLOT ONLY* Hecate is capable of bringing back the dead as her servants, using what little is left of their code to either control their actions, or simply bring them back to life as they were. Her ability to manipulate the dead's memories and emotions can range from complete puppeteering, which essentially turns them into mindless zombies; or subtle manipulations that take advantage of character flaws. This latter manipulation is the most troubling, as the person being controlled actually believes that they are acting of their own volition, unaware of Hecate's machinations.
Combat - Nightmare summon: *PLOT ONLY* This ability was given to Hecate after the assault on the NPD server, using a manipulated strain of code designed to assist convicted cyber-criminals with rehabilitation, and merging it with Hecate's Mind Shard and Necromancy powers. This power allows her to peer into an opponent's mind, see a person that they fear or loathe...and then pull it from their minds, literally bringing that person's worst nightmare, foe, or fear to life as a servant before ordering them to kill the victim.
The Nightmare possesses a sadistic kick much like Hecate's, and knows every intimate detail of the person's psyche. The Nightmare will use this information to torment their victim, making them suffer in mental and physical agony until they finally put the unfortunate soul out of their misery. If these nightmares take the form of an avatar, they possess every Add-On, DP and passive power that the genuine article does, and will not hesitate to use them.
This power can also be used to activate an dormant avatar's code, but the process strips away any and all personality data, making them into a puppet for Hecate to control.
