Name: Zip
Avatar Style: Infiltration and Retrieval
Gender: Male
Appearance: Zip is an avatar with an unusual appearance. Completely black, with smooth shiny plates, his armor looks almost like beetle carapaces. It covers his entire body, including his head, which is nothing more than a blank, featureless head, completely smooth. Overlaid on top of it is a green grid, with a single red dot that moves around, clearly his eye. However, the most notable feature his body has is that there are holes in his torso, going straight through his entire body. Electricity sparks inside them every so often, as if seeking out something.
User: None; Independent PariahTech
Personality: Zip is a malicious avatar, taking joy in tormenting others. However, he's also an enormous professional, always doing what the job requires before 'fun'. He loves to act in ways that cause others to hurt themselves or others. While he loves to harm others, the main thing that drives him is loyalty. Absolutely loyalty. He will never betray those he works for willingly, and he will do whatever it takes to carry out his mission. The only real way to bother him is to either ensure he loses, which is difficult, or to insult the people he works for.
History: Everyone knows PariahTech is devoted towards making advancements towards greater understanding and programs of the digital world. What not a lot of people know, however, is that they experiment on avatars, viruses, sprites... anything that crosses their path that could further their purposes. However, sometimes, these experiments escape, or PariahTech needs a particular avatar for experimentation. At these times, they release the Hunters.
Referred to only by their title, 'Hunter', these avatars are rogues, hardcoded to have absolute loyalty to PariahTech, and created by them for only one reason. To capture their targets and bring in valuable data. Zip is one of these avatars, and is one of the more successful Hunters, having a unique experimental power... the power to compress the data of living avatars and crunch them down into stasis, placing them in his own body and gaining access to their abilities. This has made him ideal for going after avatars hiding in large groups, sneaking in to grab them, and using their own powers as well as his own to escape.
And now he's been set after the avatars that were born as a result of Project AUGMENT. PariahTech wants its data back, and desires to use their powers to further their own ends. And what PariahTech wants, PariahTech gets...
Add-Ons: Data Compression: Contained in Zip's hands is a specialized program, designed to forcible capture, compress, and convert sentient programs. In front of him he can create a large force bubble, trapping a single target inside. Once inside, he can cause the sphere to shrink, crushing the avatar within until they are no more than a sphere of data, aware but unable to do anything. With the spheres placed inside of his body, the hole they get placed in closes up, and he gains access to their powers, either using them himself or creating an intangible image of them to use their powers on whatever target he chooses. SCRIPTED, PLOT ONLY.
Absolute Radar: Zip has sight in every direction from him all at once. This applies even through walls and other such object, giving him complete awareness of his surroundings, including avatars, for a good 100 feet around him. However, cloaking programs still avoid detection by this program, allowing others to sneak up on him.
Bleeding Spines: This spikes can be extended out of any point on Zip's body, forming out of his armor. In addition to allowing him to cling to walls without detection, these are also formidable weapons. Individually, they are weak, but Zip can launch many of them out of his body as projectiles, creating large amounts of spikes heading in a single direction. He is limited to launching them from two parts of his body at once, however, and they can be broken up close.
Premium Proxy: This proxy, built into Zip, is the top-of-the-line cloaking program. With it, he not only appears invisible, but even sounds that he makes can't be heard. In fact, by no means other than programs specifically built to bypass cloaking programs or by being literally bumped into can he be detected. He cannot use any Data Compression or any DPs while this is active, however.
Repulsive Armor: While not actually providing any real damage reduction, Zip's armor is designed for very specialized purposes. If he so chooses, upon impact of an attack, the armor will release a powerful kinetic force of equal strength, not dealing damage but sending avatars flying away to a distance proportional to the power of the attack.
Downloaded Programs:
Dragonflight: Growing four large dragonfly-like wings, Zip gains the power of flight. He is exceedingly maneuverable in this form, changing directions in an instant and zipping back and forth. His flight speed, however, is average.
Program Transfer: Compressing the data of a ranged attack heading at him, Zip tosses it to his other hand, extracting it to fire it at his own selected target. 1 post cooldown.
Falling Armor: With this program active, as Zip gets hit, his armor pieces fall off to reveal a simple black humanoid form. This takes five hits to knock off his full armor, and for each lost piece of armor, he gets faster, in reactions, movement, and flight. This is a 25% increase to his base speed each time. The downside, of course, being that Bleeding Spines can't be formed on his exposed body, requiring his armor to be used.
Decoy Armor: When Zip activates this program and all five pieces of his armor have fallen off, they pull back together, seeming to fly back to him and reconnect to him. However, in reality Zip is activating his Premium Proxy, and the armor is forming into a full version of him. This armor lacks all DPs and Add-ons aside from Dragonflight, Bleeding Spines, Repulsive Armor, and Absolute Radar. This decoy possesses autonomous AI designed to stall for time. With no body underneath, the decoy is much weaker in terms of taking damage, falling apart with 3 strong hits.
Venomous Sting: This program adds a special poison to Bleeding Spines. Upon the spikes' impact, this poison will begin to slowly paralyze its enemy, slowing them down and freezing their data. Targets can only gain one stack of this poison per post. At stacks 1 and 2, it merely reduces their speed by 25% your base speed each. At stack 3, every third post, they will be frozen in place, able to attack and use their programs, but unable to move from where they are currently standing. At stack 5, they are completely paralyzed. (SPECIAL NOTE: Stack 5 only applies during scripted threads. In other situations, they act as in stack 4, but every other post instead of every third.) For every two posts that a target goes without being hit again, they lose a single stack.
