The world is no place to live now. Not after The Experiments. E-Day, we call it. At least, the last of us.

Power crazy scientists took us all, you see, for their Experiments. They drew us in; promising us life and power. But we didn't know how deadly The Experiments were.
Just us 5 survived. The 5 most unlikely people. We weren't actors, or politicians, or figureheads. We were just average people. Or so we thought. 
3 boys, 2 girls. All aged between 14 and 25. How can we rebuild this broken world?
And more importantly... what have the experiments done to us?

Weaknesses: Once he hates someone, no amount of persuasion can change his mind.
Previous family: Parents died when he was young. No known siblings.

Experiment List
To avoid over powered or weird experiments, I have decided to make a list of experiments you can choose feom - but only if nobody else has.

• Mind control (Kian Kyorov)
• Invisibility
• Telepathy
• Flight
• Super strength

Side effects
These experiments each have a side effect of using the power.

Mind control - Can only be used for a maximum of 2 hours. Gives migranes afterwards, the duration of this the time mind control is used.
Invisibility - Can only be used for a maximum of 2 hours. Slows down the user while invisible.
Telepathy - Can only lift a maximum weight of 100kg. Also gives migranes after use, the duration of which depends on the distance travelled. 1 mile = 30 minutes.
Flight - Lasts for 2 hours before refueling needed.
Super strength - Causes cramps in muscles after use. Lasts for a maximum of 2 hours, cramps last for the same duration as time used.

(If you choose super strength,  your character must be the 14 year old).

And don't believe you're alone. Out there, who knows how many CryBots there are? Created by the scientists to hunt us down... only we can save humanity.

To join,  a maximum of 1 character each, just fill out a character information form in the same style as the one of Kian's. I will add your bio on to this thread. There will only be 5 people in this roleplay, so only 4 slots remain! Make sure to see what other people have posted, as there are 3 boys and 2 girls,  and only 1 of each power.

Um…I'm pretty sure that's not the type of role-play theme we have in mind on this forum. This RP forum is themed heavily on the fact it's a futuristic version of our world, so it's more of a Sci-Fi RP world that would have to follow the physics of our world. The rules of the forum have a step by step format that all members have to follow:

1) Make an account for the forum.
2) Copy the template for one of the character types listed on the posting section of the Applications Board.
3) Go to the specific character board for your character type, and follow the rules of character creation.
4) Make your character, and wait for a staff member to approve it, or make request for changes in the profile. Do not try to deviate from the physics or approved themes of the forum.
5) Once approved, either join an open thread, or try to set up a plot that others may volunteer to join. Again, don't deviate from the RP world rules and themes.
6) Make an intro thread, and enjoy playing with others.

The fantasy physics you have listed above, unless you can provide a scientific reason for the experiments that follows the themes and rules of the forum, just aren't possible. This plot is more fitting for a generic RP forum that isn't world specific, where you make a plot for an original story that you created. Unless you alter this so it's more world specific to our forum, this just isn't gonna work here.

Right. So... I guess that's an hour wasted, then? Because I don't know of anywhere else I could post this. This is a stricter forum than I thought...

Well... I hate to say it was wasted, but I will agree with Saber that this has essentially absolutely nothing to do with the content of this forum, which is entirely digital-world type stuff, similar to (and based on) Megaman Battle Network.

There are forums out there that, instead of having a specific setting, are more like a hub for people to post up their own roleplay ideas without having to set up their own forum for it. I would look for one of those. I will admit I haven't really looked for one, because they aren't really my thing, but it sounds like what you're looking for. In my experience, Proboards RP forums do tend towards specific fandom RPs (which is what I'd classify this as, fandom with an original flavoring) rather than these hub forums, so you may want to branch out to look at other forum providers. Zetaboards is the other one I know that has lots of RP forums on there, and it has, if I remember correctly, a search function that allows you to easily find the type of forum you're looking for.

I do hope you stay on here and make characters and participate in our thing, but if you find one of these 'hub' forums and leave to go play on there, I'll understand. I wish you the best of luck whatever you do. ^^

The idea of this rp is that it's so far into the future that scientists have figured out a way to give people these powers. Remember they have side effects too.

Yes, but... people with super powers just isn't a thing in our universe except for technomancers which is, again, more about the digital world aspects of things. Plus that, while people can make plots of their own, they have to take place in the world that's been set up on here. The world we have isn't far enough into the future that scientists can do this to people; the most experiments that have happened like that are less super powers and more cybernetic enhancements.

I mean, I do want you to RP here, this just... has nothing to do with the RP we have here. It's kind of similar to a realistic college RP and then starting a plot involving aliens invading.

Okay. So let me explain each to suit your world.

Mind control - a chip has been inserted in the brain. This will control the only other thing on Earth, the robots. That's not too overpowered.
Flight - basically a modified jetpack.
I'll change teleportation to telepathy, due to microchips in the human brain.
Invisibility - nanobots make a cloak of "invisibility" by camouflaging really effectively.
Super strength - muscles modified with robotic strength.

Well, there are other experiments with genetic engineering where humans are given animal traits at birth, or there are such things as grafts that add those features to already developed/developing individuals. So as far as the super strength part goes, it's possible, but only if done at birth. Skin grafts are only effective at altering select parts of the body, such as adding a tail or animal ears, giving a human webbed or clawed hands and feet, splicing to alter appearances. If you were born with genetic alteration, you could have someone born with features such as a gorilla's primal strength, a cheetah's speed and reflexes (but nowhere near the animal's max speed), a dog's sensitive nose and hearing, etc.

The jetpack I'm seeing as some cyborg 009 ordeal, where their bodies are practically all cybernetic. That way, you could give someone rocket boosters wherever they're supposed to go, but he'll need a fuel source that can propel them into the air, and it can't be infinite, he'll need to be able refuel depending on the type of propulsion.

Invisibility, I see that as altering the light around the body to make it seem like they're invisible, or going with the genetic splicing idea to give them chameleon-like skin.

Mind control I see no problem with.

Telepathy, you'll need to have a limit to how much one can lift before the mental strain becomes too much for them.

While this idea doesn't naturally stick to the theme of the forum, I'm willing to let you set up a thread for this, since you're trying to rework the idea to fit the physics of the forum. I apologize for our strictness, and if you want a general role-play forum, I know of one you can post the original, unaltered idea on.
