Name:
Domain
Avatar Style:
Combat Support
Gender:
Male
Appearance:
Domain can only be described as 'large'. Not fat, by any means, but tall and sturdy. His presence can be most easily described as 'looming'. He is almost entirely covered in thick brown-and-green armor. On his forearms are two silver spikes, just barely jutting out over the back of his hands. While in battle, a helmet covers his head, with the same colors as the rest of his armor, but outside of it, his head is revealed, with grey eyes and spiky brown hair.
User:
N/A
Personality:
Domain at first appears to be intimidating and serious. He rarely smiles, or laughs. His voice is calm and even, and he treats everyone fairly respectfully. However, beneath the surface lies a brawler. He will not hesitate to jump into fights, both for the right and the wrong reasons. Typically, he attempts to protect others when possible. He knows his appearance can be intimidating, and makes full use of it if necessary. There is, perhaps, even more to him, but no one has managed to get close enough to him for it to be revealed.
History:
Experiments to provide new equipment to an avatar through DPs and to boost their existing powers through DPs hadn't managed to successfully boost the power of an avatar permanently. So the scientists working on this switched to a new tactic. Instead of permanently changing the avatar, they decided to attempt to permanently change the battlefield around them to give them an advantage. And, as usual, the true result of their experiment, though they didn't know it, was the creation of a rogue avatar, in this case Domain. He immediately set out for a place that he felt he could belong in; because although he could theoretically try to change wherever he wanted to into a place he could call home, he wanted most of all to find a place that already was home.
Add-Ons:
Terrain Spikes: These retractable spikes can extend outwards three feet from Domain's arms. While usable as a weapon, they are more often used to inject his terrain-altering code into the surrounding area.
Chain Fists: Domain's hands can 'fire' outwards on silver chains made out of energy up to 20 feet away. Usable both for combat and as a connectivity program.
Enhanced Programming: Domain is stronger than normal avatars, beating out avatars with similar builds by 1.5 times.
Terrain Armor: This thick armor reduces all incoming damage by 25%.
Downloaded Programs:
Shattering Strength: Domain's strength doubles, allowing him to smash through rock and metal obstacles with ease.
Restoration: When used, automatically ends all AA, GG, and CC abilities, restoring the original terrain and climate of the area. 5 post cooldown.
Arena Alteration: (Activated by stabbing the ground with his Terrain Spikes, use overwrites any previous AA DP. Half of the affected area appears the post after Domain stabs the ground, the rest on the post after that.)
Pillar Peril: Domain creates an obstacle course of 10-20 foot spiky rock pillars jutting from the ground at various angles in a 50-foot radius. These pillars will not rise up underneath any avatars on the battlefield, but instead create many pillars that can be climbed on top of or hidden underneath.
Torturous Tunnels: Many pits appear in the ground of the battlefield in a 50-foot radius. Each pit is connected to the others through tunnels, allowing people to hide from others by moving through them.
Cracked Chasm: Across the battlefield appears a 50-foot long chasm, splitting it wide open. The gap across the chasm is 20 feet.
Fearful Forest: Thick jungle spreads across the battlefield in a 50-foot radius.
Ground Generation: (Activated by stabbing the ground with his Terrain Spikes, use overwrites any previous GG DP. Half of the affected area appears the post after Domain stabs the ground, the rest on the post after that.)
Desert Dunes: The battlefield in a 50-foot radius turns into a desert, complete with tall sand dunes. Torturous Tunnels and Cracked Chasm do not work in this environment.
Sturdy Stone: The battlefield in a 50-foot radius turns into thick, hard flat plain of stone, with boulders scattered throughout it.
Mazed Metal: The battlefield in a 50-foot radius turns into a metal, large walls rising 20 feet into the air to form a maze.
Wretched Water: The battlefield in a 50-foot radius sinks down into the ground three feet, filling up rapidly with water.
Climate Change: (Activated by pointing his Terrain Spikes up in the air, use overwrites any previous CC DP. The effects of this only happen the second post after Domain points his Spikes in the air, but visual hints at the weather change appear the first post after.)
Raging Rainstorm: A dark thundercloud appears in the sky, pelting the battlefield with rain and wind. This greatly reduces visibility, the only natural source of illumination from the sky being the intermittent flashes of lightning.
Scouring Sand: A great sandstorm raises up, not only reducing visibility to almost nothing, but pelting all within it with sand. While individually this does little damage, extended periods of time within it can do severe damage. Can only be used while Desert Dunes is active or in a natural desert.
