Name: Rebecca Oswald
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Appearance: Control's [Anime] Jennifer Sato
Personality: Ruthless, cunning, and perhaps a tad crazy are good descriptors of Hyperion's owner. Driven by her ambitions, nothing will stand in the way of her corporation if she has anything to say about it. Some say she'd sell her own mother, but that's just slander and you wouldn't listen to them would you? She's also said to have a fascination with power and control, and some conspiracy theorists would tell you that you can't trust a word out of her mouth.
Affiliation: The Big Four, Hyperion (CEO)
History: Rebecca Oswald is the daughter of Robert Oswald, original owner and founder of the Hyperion corporation. When the megacorps stepped in and took charge of their respective tech fields, they left a lot of ground open in other fields. Every beleaguered business that had been heckled down by the megacorps ended up joining with Hyperion, and up until a few years ago were the only business even remotely large enough to economically challenge the big four... if one considers a pebble a challenge for a mountaineer. That is, up until Robert Oswald died in the middle of the night, leaving his company to his daughter and transferring all assets to her.
In a shocking display of ruthlessness, Rebecca Oswald struck a deal behind closed doors. In exchange for seeding some "private" companies that were patsies of the big four, Hyperion would change focus to handle all the messy work that goes in to keeping such big businesses operating smoothly. The occasional leg breaking, the seeding of dangerous viruses, a sudden increase in the outbreak of dangerous rogue avatars, reports of mysterious agents kidnapping people and avatars alike. Of course, none of it can be traced back to Hyperion yet... and with the generous amounts of money flowing from the Big Four to keep it that way, it's likely that no one will...
On the surface, Hyperion has become something of an "alternative company" to its larger "competitors". Hyperion sells derivatives of technologies the Big Four are working on, under the claim that Hyperion's goods are of higher quality at a lower price point, as well as easier to use. In fact, many of its in-development projects are available as free downloads, and many people between antivirus softwares of those who wish to avoid paying can often be found running their software. It's all a very clever gamble; the programs drop tiny, difficult to detect spy programs in to terminals and computers... spy programs that the Big Four often plan around to keep their flow of information open.
Just how deep does the connection go? It would take a group of brave do-gooders to find out...
Special Equipment: The Hyperion corporation: A very large, very wealthy corporation that handles the Big Four's dirty work under the table under the front of a legitimate business. They field a wide number of experimental technologies and do quite a bit of field testing for the Big Four on top of their own designs. Rumor has it that Hyperion is working a new project...
Hyperion experimental phase shield: An experimental shield developed by Hyperion based on other security technology. The first of its kind, when switched on it has been tested to repel firepower from most conventional weapons for short periods of time (Conventional weapons being small firearms, blunt instruments and bladed weapons). <Duration: Up to three posts. Completely negates damage. No damage can be done by the user while the shield is up.>
Pistol: A simple pistol for self defense, with the proper concealed and open carry licenses. Simple. primitive. Effective.
Bodyguards: As one would expect of such a rich person, Rebecca has hired a small army's worth of bodyguards. Heavily armed, well equipped, ex-soldier bodyguards. Typically the number of bodyguards is four, but for public events or potentially dangerous situations she may field up to six of them.

<OOC Note: I don't know if I overstepped the boundaries you guys wanted for Hyperion, if I did let me know!>
