Well, if we're going to go over the war, I may as well start with the beginning, the first strikes...and losing two of my friends to those ba-...to the enemy.
The attack on the North American precinct was sudden, unexpected, I honestly can't BEGIN to fathom how long it had been in the works, how long we'd had a target painted on our backs. I can only guess as to why, and every time I think it over...it has to be how many heavy hitters we have. Mani4c, The cyberblades, both Gen 1 AND Gen 2, the AUGMENTS...the list goes on and on. Combine that with the Halberd attacks, Noxus and Justicar...we drew so much attention, showed that we were growing stronger, we might as well have been waving and screaming at the top of our bloody lungs, "WE'RE A THREAT! NEUTRALIZE US FIRST!"
Luckily, we managed to repulse the attack...at the cost of severe server damage that required a temporary evacuation while the precinct was being repaired...and at the cost of a friend, as temporary as it proved to be.
Abraxas...even now, with him most assuredly dead, I can't help but worry that he'll pull some miracle out of his rear end and come back. Resurrection through his own soldiers, regeneration on a level that even our most powerful viral avatar couldn't match. But most importantly, he was the one responsible for nearly crippling the bloody FOUR HORSEMEN, and, unintentionally...creating Lilith, as well as Mani4c, Viral, and by means of "inspiration" Noxus. This man...this...THING. All of our most powerful viral officers were spawned from his code, either directly or by some other connection.
But it wasn't enough for him to just sicc his army of viruses, his crew of Degenerate "generals" on us...no, he decided to "adopt" Lilith, activating a portion of her viral code, her long repressed instincts. He turned her against us, maimed and murdered dozens of good men...and then left. All in the span of 5 hours, this abomination masterminded a mass breakout in the physical world, the destruction of an entire COUNTRY'S Net-Police, stole confidential data and MORE...and this was him WARNING us about what he could do.
He humiliated us, hurt us...but he didn't KILL us, and that would be his biggest mistake. He kicked the mother of all hornets' nests, and just skipped off thinking he could escape retribution...and eventually, it ended up being his downfall.
