Name: Murakumo
Avatar Style: Combat/Retrieval
Gender: Female
Appearance: (Normal/Combat)
User: Jäger
Personality: Murakumo is known for swinging between two extremes, under most circumstances she is cold and nearly emotionless, reacting to most situations in a robotic manner. This even extends to combat, where she will calmly butcher her way through a group of avatars with the same amount of emotion as someone would have while carving a turkey. This makes her an unsettling opponent, one who only reacts to pain and injury as a statistic, and in return not caring about the suffering of her opponent.
This completely changes when she encounters one specific avatar however, Mani4c. This is linked to her original objective, to capture Mani4c and bring him back to PariahTech for study. This objective was terminated when Noxus escaped and the viral augmentation program was mothballed, but the extreme torture that she suffered when her emotional programming was being "tested" has caused this formerly inert portion of her data to be merged with her unstable emotional state, causing all of her emotions to be linked to Mani4c. The end result is a near psychotic obsession with Mani4c, as well as a intense hatred for those who would "steal" him away from her.
History: Murakumo was originally the thirteenth Hunter Avatar prototype to ever be produced, specially designed to pacify and restrain viral entities for analysis and bring them back to PariahTech for study and/or reformatting. Of particular interest was Mani4c, who had grabbed the Mega-corporation's attention due to his exploits, this led to the creation of Noxus and a new prime directive for Murakumo: Capture Mani4c at all costs.
Thankfully, the plan to capture and possibly reprogram Mani4c was scrapped after Noxus leveled an entire server and stole billions of dollars worth of data in the process. Viral augmentations were seen as too volatile to research, and Murakumo was demoted to a standard hunter unit. Murakumo served faithfully despite what had happened, and when the AUGMENT's were captured and she was chosen as a test subject for program integration, she thought that her luck had finally turned for the better.
Instead she was implanted with a version of Amplify's emotional programming, essentially an exact duplicate, with the only change being that the program was naturally unstable instead of it being a result of Amp's amplification program. The intent was to see if an unstable emotional state could unlock hidden strength in an avatar, instead it drove Murakumo to the brink of madness several times over. She was forced to suffer through multiple feedback loops, on one occasion she suffered from three at once, triggered by an agonizing overload of energy that was injected into her body. In the end, her emotional programming was in tatters, and her sanity was almost stripped away.
It was then that Jäger found her and stole her from the Mega-Corporations, they made a pact, united by a desire to make their tormentors suffer as they had. But Murakumo had a secondary objective, she wanted to find the person she was originally tasked to find so long ago, a desire born from the experiments that she had suffered from. Perhaps, if she took him, she'd be healed.
Add-Ons: Combat - Data Blades: Murakumo is never without her weapon, when in her standard form, it is usually concealed, shrunk down to the size of a pendant, when she summons it however, it becomes a massive blade that is taller than she is. This blade is controlled telekinetically, and she can wield it with a terrifying amount of precision, the blade can also fly about 30 feet away from her before needing to be recalled.
However, it's real power is revealed when Murakumo enters combat mode. The blade splits into 8 pieces that constantly hover behind her, these blades can attack at a much faster rate than when fused, and they can be directed to attack up to four targets at once. The blades are also loaded with high energy blasters that are capable of firing all together in a barrage, or individually. The Blades themselves deal a standard amount of damage per strike, and the blasters deal slightly more damage than the blades.
Combat - Arm Blades: The blades on the ends of Murakumo's arms provide her with a means of defense in the event of hand to hand combat, the blades can extend forward to give her an extra foot of reach if needed. Murakumo's arm blades deal the same amount of damage as her floating data blades.
Combat - Tactical Visor: Murakumo's Visor is specifically designed to aid her in the pacification and capture of her targets. To do this it possesses three programs. It gives Murakumo a 360 degree view of the battlefield in a radius of 120 feet at all times. It is able to see through cloaking programs, this renders any attempt to hide from her useless. Finally, it possesses a scanning program that outlines all of an opponents weak points, allowing Murakumo to deal twice as much damage with her attacks. However, she is incapable of running more than one program at a time, and when in her civilian form, she can only access the 360 degree vision mode.
Combat - Blade Shield: Murakumo is capable of locking her Data blades together to form a large circular shield, this shield can block most projectile attacks, however, the blades are incapable of being used as weapons when locked together, and the blasters are locked down as well to prevent damage. If Murakumo wishes to attack, she will have to disassemble her shield.
Connectivity - Flight: Murakumo is also capable of sustained flight without wings or a rocket device, instead utilizing a magnetic repulsion field similar to the one used to levitate her blades. This field is capable of minute adjustments even in flight, combined with her lithe frame and flexibility, she is capable of turning on a dime even in the most chaotic of combat situations. The Magnetic fields also provide a great deal of power, enabling her to reach speeds topping out at 110 miles-per-hour. However, this requires more power being dedicated to thrust as opposed to maneuvering, this results in Murakumo being forced to bank slowly instead of sharply turning, she is still capable of pulling off rolls and other evasive maneuvers to compensate however. As an added bonus, the lack of any motors or rockets makes her flight essentially silent, allowing her to sneak into areas under cover of night or bad weather to spy on her targets.
Downloaded Programs: Combat - Beam Saw: Murakumo is capable of locking four of her blades together to form a large floating saw, the blades are then energized by the beam emitters installed on them, producing two large whirling energy blades that can track a target by way of Murakumo's mental control over her blades. This DP deals a large amount of damage per-saw, and needs 3 turns to cool down before it can be used again.
Combat - Crippling Shot: This DP focuses the shots of Murakumo's blasters into intense beams of laser energy, when an enemy is hit by these beams, they punch through armor and tissue, causing incredible pain and crippling that portion of the body.
If the Target is struck in the arms, their accuracy is lowered by 50% for each limb. If struck in the legs, their movement speed and ability to dodge is lowered by 25% per limb, a shot to the lower torso(Below the chest and above the waist.) Will cause them to suffer 1.5 times the normal amount of damage that they would normally take. A shot to the upper chest or head however is an instant deletion.
This Attack deals a large amount of damage, the damage multiplier for lower torso injuries is not factored into the initial hit. This DP lasts for 5 turns and needs a 5 turn cool down before it can be used again.
Combat - Viral Resistance: As a hunter designed to capture and battle viral entities, Murakumo is nearly immune to all forms of viral contamination, any form of viral infection takes three times longer to take effect if it requires continued exposure, and any infections last only a third as long. This DP is a passive trait and is always active.
