Name: Claymore
Avatar Style: Combat
Gender: Male
Appearance: Claymore is a gargantuan avatar, with a powerful build and a height of eight and a half feet tall, he is one of the largest avatars ever created. Claymore takes the appearance of a male human in his early 30's with short, spiky brown hair and grey eyes, his skin is somewhat pale due to his habit of wearing his armor even outside of combat. When he isn't wearing his armor, Claymore wears a dark grey tunic and black pants, he also wears leather boots that go up to his knees (Similar to the one's seen here:link) and a slate colored sash as a belt. Finishing off his ensemble is a pair of leather spaulders that provide a small amount of protection to his shoulders. Claymore also has a hooded cloak that he wears in bad weather, do to his size, the cloak could easily shield three normal sized avatars from the elements just by standing under the cloak with him.
User: None
Personality: Claymore is every bit the knight that his appearance would suggest, he is an honorable and chivalrous individual with a fierce sense of loyalty to his family and friends. Claymore's loyalty to his family overrides almost everything else in his life, even his loyalty to the NPD. However, if the family member does something that Claymore finds morally wrong, he will not hesitate to abandon them and bring them in as a criminal, considering them "Ex" family members.
Claymore is also the one to usually play peacemaker when allies fight, using words or his incredible strength to separate the quarreling parties to try and patch things up. This tendency to try and talk people down before engaging in a fight ironically makes him one of the most peaceful Cyberblades, despite his design being focused on heavy combat.
History: Claymore is the youngest of the wave two cyberblades, being the last avatar in the program to be designed and created. He was created to combat the large array of powerful and resilient avatars who have been appearing on the network as of late. Claymore's creation process was a difficult undertaking due to his massive stature and power, the NPD needed to construct a specialized formatting chamber to house him when he was being created. Claymore was originally intended to be paired with a Net-Ops agent after his trials were finished, but due to Halberd's attack on the precinct, followed by the death of Officer Jameson, has placed Claymore's assignment on hold for the moment. Because of this, Claymore has been modified to act without an operator if necessary, but until he feels needed, he will continue to assist Bit and The Doctor in the R&D department when they need any assistance that requires his enhanced strength.
Add-Ons:
Combat - Knight's Armor: Claymore's armor is extremely durable due to his combat specialization. Claymore's armor grants Claymore a 50%% boost to melee defense, and a 40% boost to defense against ranged weapons.
Combat - Data Glaive: This weapon is Claymore's main weapon, it takes the form of a long polearm with a collapsible shaft topped by a large energy blade. At it's maximum length, the shaft of the weapon is eight feet long, with the energy blade adding an extra fourteen inches. The Data Glaive is a powerful weapon that deals a large amount of damage per hit.
Combat - Sword&Shield: Claymore's secondary melee weapon is a sword and shield. The shield actually functions as the sword's sheath, with Claymore drawing the blade from within the shield. The Shield is capable of blocking most ranged weapons, but armor piercing rounds can breach it, and a strong enough impact can injure Claymore due to sheer kinetic force. The sword is a standard one handed long sword that can be used as a slashing or stabbing weapon. The sword's double edged blade is approximately six feet long and deals moderate damage. These weapons cannot be used separately because they are structured as a single program.
Combat - Blast Cannons: These high impact De-Rez cannons are installed inside of Claymore's hands, and are modified for increased efficiency and a faster rate of fire. These cannons can fire in bursts of five shots per cannon, for a maximum of ten shots per post. The cannon blasts deal moderate amounts of damage per shot.
Combat - Enhanced strength: Claymore's large stature is not just for show, he is physically one of the strongest avatars ever designed, when utilizing his enhanced strength, he is capable of lifting more than 2 tons over his head. This enhanced strength makes him a devastating melee combatant, doubling all damage dealt by both unarmed and armed melee attacks.
Downloaded Programs:
Combat - Ebon Spark: This download is a powerful charged blast of explosive energy that can be charged for greater effect. Claymore gathers energy into his hands and pools it into a large black orb of unstable energy. The orb his then fired at the target, exploding on impact. This attack can be charged for a maximum of three turns, becoming stronger with each turn that it charges. A standard attack with this download deals a large amount of damage with splash damage being dealt in a radius of 10 feet and a required cool down of 4 turns. Charged attack cool downs: 1 post; 6 turns. 2 posts; 8 turns. 3 posts; 11 turns.
Combat - Shadow Wave: Claymore channels energy into his hands and fires out a large cone of corrosive data at his opponent, this data is designed to eat away at an opponent's vitality while sapping their strength and durability. This DP deals Moderate damage outright, and continues to deal light amounts of damage over a period of 5 turns, during which the target's defense and attack are both halved.
Combat - Limiter Removal: Much like Halberd, Claymore has several limiters in place that help regulate his power output, these limiters can be released by Claymore if he feels that it's necessary. When his Limiters are removed, Claymore doubles in height, towering over every other avatar on the battlefield. The massive surge in energy causes an extreme increase in attack power and defensive capability, and grants Claymore the ability to fire a powerful blast of energy known as the Rift Torrent. Claymore can only maintain this enhanced form for 7 turns, and requires 12 turns to recharge his energy reserves before he can remove his limiters again.
Combat - Rift Torrent: This DP can only be used when Claymore's Limiter removal has been activated. The Rift Torrent is a concentrated beam of energy approximately 5 feet wide that is fired from either Claymore's hands or the tip of his sword. This attack is extremely powerful, dealing a Large amount of damage and requiring a 4 turn cool down before it can be used again.
