Name: Chakram
Avatar Style: Stealth Combat/Law Enforcement
Gender: Male
Appearance: Chakram's default appearance is that of a slender man about 5' 7'' in his early twenties with black hair and orange eyes. He wears a similar outfit as Saber when he's unarmored. Chakram's default outfit is a a combination of black and grey with crimson markings, he also has a small visor that wraps around the left side of his face, this visor projects a screen over his left eye. This visor delivers a constant stream of combat data while also providing information on any registered avatar in the NPD database. The visor also allows him to see in low light environments without needing to activate his armor.
User: Samuel Vickers
Personality: Chakram is easily the quietest of the wave 2 Cyberblade avatars, rarely speaking unless directly addressed. When it comes to interacting with other avatars, Chakram prefers to be by himself, though there are a couple of exceptions, Katana and Saber being the most prominent. Chakram is very hard to annoy, even Mani4c's best efforts at garnering a response only get a bemused smirk and an occasional eye roll.
However, there are two ways to earn Chakram's contempt, and by extension make him angry. The first is to insult or degrade someone that he respects, this often puts him at odds with internal affairs, who view Saber with suspicion because of Dagger and Halberd's escape. The second is to injure or insult someone who cannot defend themselves. The first trigger is one of particular importance, because this trigger is his main motivation for re-capturing Dagger. Chakram sees Dagger as a black mark on the Cyberblade project's record on top of the fact that Saber has been forced to fight his own brother because of, as Chakram puts it "His bullheaded attempts to prove that being a dime-store vigilante is more effective than being a proper law officer."
Chakram's open contempt for Dagger because of how his actions reflect on Saber show how respected he is by Chakram. This respect can border adulation on occasion, but instead of openly praising Saber, Chakram instead shows his respect in more subtle ways. Mostly by always refering to him as "Sir" instead of Saber.
When in battle, Chakram is a cool and calculating fighter, analyzing the situation before leaping in and joining the fray. When Chakram does enter a fight, he prefers to cripple his opponents, striking their limbs or vital points so they can be deleted or arrested easier.
History: Chakram was the second wave 2 Cyberblade avatar to be designed, second to Katana, this makes him the "Middle Child" of the Wave 2 avatars. Chakram was designed as a result of Saber's fight with Dagger shortly before Mani4c's return to duty. After analysis of footage taken from Saber, Baretta and Mani4c, The NPD's R&D department was ordered to create an avatar that could counter Dagger's cloaking and weakpoint detection abilities. Another requirement was a greater emphasis on combat, due to the more heavily armored enemies that have been plaguing Cyber City as of late. Chakram has recently begun his training after being paired with Net-Ops officer Samuel Vickers.
Add-Ons: Combat - Phantom Armor: Chakram's armor is specially made to enhance his unique fighting style, providing maximum flexibility without sacrificing defense. This armor is also more durable than other steath based armors, providing a modest amount of protection against melee and ranged attacks. (This armor provides a 10% resistance against melee and Ranged attacks.) As an aside, Chakram's armor was originally gunmetal grey with red highlights, but Katana altered the colors to magenta and gold so he would look somewhat similar to Saber and herself. Chakram decided to keep the coloration so Katana would be happy, and secretly because he liked the color as well.
Combat - Chakrams: These are Chakram's namesake, they take the form of two scythe blades facing in opposite directions that are fused together at the grip. The chakrams can be thrown like a discus or spun in the user's hands to perform slashing attacks. When thrown, Chakram can direct the direction of the blades by sheer force of will, making them swirl around him like a tornado of shredding blades, or to redirect them so he can have a second shot at striking an enemy. The chakrams spin while thrown, and they continue to spin even when an enemy is struck, tearing into an enemy similar to a sawblade. The chakrams can also be inserted into Chakram's gauntlets, collapsing so they can be stowed away when not in use, when Chakram enters a fight, the gauntlets open and allow Chakram to retrieve his weapons.
Combat - Concealed Blades: Chakram isn't limited to one type of weapon, he also possesses several hidden blades in various portions of his armor. He has two thrusting blades, one in each of his gauntlets. and a retractable blade in the tips of each boot. The thrusting knives are double edged and approximately seven inches long. His boot knives are essentially shortened versions of his thrusting blades, coming in at approximately 3-and-a-half inches long.
Combat - Kunai: Chakram has access to weighted Kunai knives as a secondary ranged weapon, Chakram can deploy seven kunai in one post.
Downloaded Programs:
Combat - Cloaking field: Chakram's cloaking field is the next generation of cloaking software, capable of making him completely vanish at will, the only way to detect him is with a specialized piece of detection software or by tagging his code with a data scanning program,(I.E: Savage form's sensory program, Mani4c's code scanning ability, or something equivalent.) The cloaking field only effects visual scans, if Chakram makes enough noise, he can still be detected.
Combat - Cloaking Scrambler: This program releases a localized scrambler burst, which instantly knocks out any cloaking programs within a radius of three square blocks. Chakram's armor is shielded against this burst, so his cloaking remains unaffected. However, this scrambler draws a gargantuan amount of power to continue working, rendering all but Chakram's Cloaking field and chakrams useless. If he uses any other DP or add-on, the scrambler is immediately deactivated.
The code operates on an extremely narrow wavelength, and only effects DP's that are designed to obscure or cloak and enemy avatar, all other add-ons and DP's are unaffected. Any affected cloaking programs are disabled for 3 turns, and this burst can only be used once every 5 turns.
Combat - Weakpoint detection: Chakram's armor comes equipped with a special scanning program that can locate weaknesses in an opponents defensive programming. This allows him to bypass damage resistances granted by thick armor.
Combat - Bomb Kunai: Chakram can load his kunai knives with an explosive charge, Chakram can deploy 4 explosive kunai in one post, the explosion created by the bombs is localized and only has a five foot blast radius. The explosive Kunai detonate on contact, and Chakram can use this program for three turns before needing to wait five turns for it to recharge.
