Name: Lady Serana
Gender: Female
Appearance: Here Warning: Suggestive and NSFW.
Partner: None
Personality: Lady Serana acts very much like an indolent noble. Slow to act much of the time and quite secure in her own power, she often shows amusement in the face of threats. This does not make her a pushover by any means, and once her ire is up she typically strikes swiftly and overpoweringly. Even so, she prefers to have others do the tasks she needs done, and is perfectly willing to manipulate said others to do so.
History: Noone is entirely sure where Lady Serana came from. A relatively minor figure in the Underground's politics, she's shown no sign to rise above her standing as a black market dealer and occasional gladiator patron. Certainly no one in the Underground would suspect that she is strong enough to take the top seat for herself, if desired. However, after the first few challengers to her standing disappeared under mysterious circumstances, no one who knows of her will be anything but cordial towards her. Which is fine by her, as she prefers to be polite to those who seek her out.
Forms: Move (allows a sprite to move from one place to another.), Attack (allows a sprite to directly cause damage to a target), Hack (allows a sprite to hack security systems), Compile Sprite (allows a sprite to create other sprites. The more complex the created sprite, the longer its creation will take.), Decompile (allows a sprite to instantly render anything it has created into raw data, effectively destroying it.), Repair (allows a sprite to repair damage to itself or another target, either animate or inanimate.)
Echoes: Truth of the Net: An understanding of the illusion of space in the digital world allows Lady Serana to seemingly teleport within a given server. She still needs to cross between servers through normal channels. Limit is three safe teleports per post, any more in a given post both required mod permission (from someone other than me) and brings the chance of screwing up in some way, determined by the approving mod.
Technomancer's Common-Sense Rules for Teleportation: There are two big limits on safe teleportation. The first is familiarity. If you're going to teleport somewhere without seeing it with your own eyes, you'd better be damn familiar with where you're going, and where it is relative to you. Otherwise there's a good chance you'll end up in a wall or some other object, and a good chance of you ending up off course by who-knows-how-much. The second is line-of-sight. Any teleporter who plays it safe makes sure that they can see where they're going with their own eyes. Not through cameras, not with a photograph, with their own eyes. That way they can easily judge distance and direction when it comes to the teleport.
Saber's comments: Familiar territory; two teleports per post. Unfamiliar territory; one teleport per post. This was the type of limitation I was trying to have posted for this profile.
Technomancer's reply:
Fine, fine. I'll need to rethink how she uses the ability, but frankly I'm tired of arguing about it.
