A New Beginning (Saber)

[Mani4c]

Mani4c almost looked ready to lash out at Amaterasu next...almost being the key word. Her words held plenty of truth to them, and he knew it. "...Right..." Mani4c turned and picked up Baretta, ready to walk out of the office, only for Noxus to stop him and toss down a transport sphere. The device activated with a loud bang, and tore open a portal to Mani4c and Baretta's apartment building. "Here, I cannot get you into the complex itself, the firewalls make it impossible. However, this should save on time and stress."

Mani4c nodded and smiled wearily at Noxus, his own emotions wearing him down a bit. "Thanks bro...sorry for losing it back there." Noxus simply chuckled and clapped Mani4c on the back. "Think nothing of it, you were protecting your own, it's perfectly natural that you would react the way you did. Just get her home, and get some rest. I'll get in touch with the Doctor and see if he, Forge and I can't do some off the books modding to your home so you can support the children comfortably."

Mani4c's smile widened at that, his eyes watering a bit. "H-Heh..thanks bro...I'll talk to ya later then. Buy guys, and thanks for helping Baretta out for me." With that, Mani4c left with Baretta in his arms, off to tend to her once she woke up. ((Not sure if you wanna have them leave or just cut to them talking in their apartment before we move on with the rest of this Saber, so I leave it up to you.))

Justicar sighed and rang up Rift on his chat program, muttering to himself about "Damn viral avatars" all the while.

As for Amaterasu...she slumped into a vacant chair and put her head in her hands, groaning in exasperation. "I need a damn drink..."

[Saber]

It didn't take long for Mani4c to get Baretta home, and comfortable in a bed, but it did take a while for her to rest and recover from her little BSoD episode. A couple of hours of laying in bed and Baretta finally showed signs of actually moving while she was laying, her eyes closing shut as she was in a small sleep mode now. It was going to be another long while before she would be up and active again.

When she finally did come out of her sleep mode, Baretta stirred as she came to, looking around and moaning softly "...That...was unexpected..."

[Mani4c]

Mani4c nodded softly, sitting next to Baretta on the bed. He hadn't laid next to her, for fear of startling her when she woke up. "Yeah...it has...not that I regret it, given the news." The viral officer smiled down at his lover, gently taking hold of her hand and squeezing it. "Heh...Parents...we're gonna be fucking parents!~"

[Saber]

Baretta's hand squeezed Mani4c's as he did for hers, smiling as she saw how excited that Mani4c was to be bringing new life into the digital world with her "It's a lot to process, but I did prepare for this day to one day come. I just didn't expect it to come so suddenly."

[Mani4c]

Mani4c chuckled softly, "Yeah, not gonna lie, I'm kinda scared shitless about messing up. But I got you, Noxus and the others at my back...so I think we'll be okay.~"

Mani4c leaned down and kissed Baretta tenderly, cupping her cheek with his free hand and smiling when he broke the kiss. "I love you Baretta.~"

[Saber]

Baretta sighed happily and lifted her hand to cup over Mani4c's, smiling happily as she looked up at Mani4c "I love you too, Mani4c. I know we'll be alright, I just hope our children don't take too much after their father, especially before you matured.~"

[Mani4c]

Mani4c snickered at the image of a younger him bouncing off the walls and driving everybody at the precinct crazy, oh yes, things were definitely going to be more interesting with 5 children for them to dote and raise. But, it was worth it in his eyes, he'd gotten the woman he loved, and the family he craved for a long time.

Baretta had given him a home, friends, and now a family of his own, and it made the viral avatar tear up and let out a small, choked sob. "Tch...h-eh...fucking tearin' up over here, how embarrassing.~" 

[Saber]

Baretta giggled and squeezed Mani4c's hand softly, giving the viral avatar a reassuring look "It's okay to get emotional.~ But could we maybe just rest for now? I'm still burned out after everything today."

[Mani4c]

Mani4c chuckled and nodded, leaning in to kiss Baretta again before settling in next to her on top of the covers of their bed. "I'd like that..." Mani4c rolled over and hugged Baretta softly, curling up next to her almost protectively as he pressed his forehead against hers and whispered to her. "I'm glad...I'm glad that I could become this with you...a father, a better man...you're my everything Baretta, thank you.~"

[Saber]

Baretta smiled and nuzzled against Mani4c, sighign contently as she started to drift back into her sleep mode "And you've helped me learn what it means to understand complex, human emotion. Now sleep, we have much to plan for tomorrow." With that, she drifted to sleep, refreshing herself for the following day and preparing for the future that was to come.
