First Strike(Saber, Prythian)

[Mani4c]

JARVIS did a quick sweep of the server, locating Saber and the other cyberblades within seconds. <Amaterasu is currently assisting my creator; Forge, in defending the Server's main Data-core, the battle seems to be going well for them, the files are backed up, and the server's security systems are rebooting, we should have access to internal security protocols in about 60 seconds. Chakram is protecting the non-combatant avatars, he's evacuated 75% of the science staff so far. Claymore is rampaging through the southern sector of the server, he's currently fighting off a trio of brawlers with his glaive, he's taken a moderate amount of damage, but his ability to fight has not been impaired. Katana is protecting Bit at this moment, both are barricaded inside of Forge's lab. Saber....one moment...error...this is impossible....>

The Doctor looked over the data and came to a stop. "What!?" Shepard grabbed a drone by the head and decapitated it, not noticing the Doctor's horrified tone. "What is it?" "Saber's fighting Lilith...and Baretta and the others are running right into it." Shepard stiffened visibly. "Where are they?" <Right down the hall Ma'am.> "Let's move people!"

War grabbed Valkyrie by the shoulder and stopped her, "You are in no condition to fight anymore, your allies, as well as mine, are moving to defeat this invasion. We must have faith in them."

Noxus noticed Mirror's reaction, and his suspicions only increased. "I was going to leave it alone, but now I must know, what is going on!?" Before Noxus could get an answer, a squad of 10 Acid Troopers burst into the room, firing at the officers. "Damn it. We're not dropping this!" Noxus transformed his arm into a heavy De-Rez rifle and dropped to one knee, taking aim and opening fire at the new hostiles.

Lilith summoned her wings and flew up into the air, opening fire at Saber with a hail of explosive rounds from above. Her expression turning bored at Saber's declaration. "What would you know? You weren't shoved into the back of someone's head because they were afraid of you, she doesn't deserve to coexist with me, she didn't even give me a chance!" Suddenly, a voice boomed from behind Lilith. "THEN I'LL SEND YOU BACK TO THE VOID WHERE YOU BELONG!" Suddenly, a crimson Katana flew through the air, impaling Lilith through the back. "ARGH!" The one who threw the blade was none other than Justicar, who sprinted into the room and leaped in the air, latching onto Lilith by wrapping an arm around her neck.

Alexi simply let out a sigh when Kate shot Vasili through the head herself, holstering his pistol and walking away to sit on a nearby desk before he collapsed. Samuel sent out Kate's message, which was quickly repeated over the PA, to their credit, the remaining criminals weren't stupid enough to resist without a leader, and the riot was quickly suppressed. "The message is out Kate, most if not all of the cons are giving up, first smart move they've made today." "Yes, and what you did manipulating Jäger was equal parts stupid and smart, Vickers." Samuel stiffened at the harsh tone that Sam used when speaking his name. "I'm in trouble aren't I?" "If you can't give me a damn good reason for why you hid this, yeah."

Jäger scowled when Kate told her that she couldn't let her leave without a tail of some kind. "You're gonna stop me? If I recall, that didn't end well the last time. For either of us." Mary's hands inched towards her pistols, wary of Jäger attacking Kate. But surprisingly, before either woman could argue, or come to blows, Jäger suddenly dropped her blades, clutching her head. "Uh, ARGH! My head! It feels like it's being ripped open!" Jäger dropped to one knee, her expression wracked with pain, hazy images danced before her eyes, ghosts that flitted in and out of her view. She could dimly hear Maximus speaking in his harsh metallic tones, telling the group what was wrong. <WARNING! SUBJECT IS SUFFERING FROM SEVERE NEUROLOGICAL DAMAGE, STEP ASIDE.> The last thing Jäger saw before collapsing was Maximus kneeling down to pick her up, and then everything went black.

[Saber]

<...He's a member of project AUGMENT, like you possibly are...So it's highly probable that you are connected to him in origins.> Dagger received notice of Saber's status from JARVIS just after responding to Merge. He didn't wait up for the rest of the group, using his grav boots to bound off of each wall to propell himself forward at a faster pace <I want info on every threat in his immediate area, quickly!> As he leapt forward, Shepard and the others could see random barrages of shuriken disposing of viruses further down the hall, clearing their path for the most part. He flew right over the group ahead, Baretta noticing the shuriken disposing of more viruses that had been slowing them down before "...What the! Was that Dagger?!"

Valkyrie looked up at War, a defiant glare in her eye, before she finally looked down in defeat, her armor changing to become nothing more than a steel plate vest, a blue skirt and brown shoes her only visible defense, aside from her sword, which she was currently using as a cane "...Dammit...I'm a disgrace to my colleagues..."

Saber was deflecting Viral Lilith's bullets, curving them away just before they exploded while she was monologuing about her pain of being suppressed. He was about to try and say something that might have at least gotten through somewhat to this Viral half, but Justicar stepped in and impaled Lilith with his sword. "JUSTICAR! NO!" Scared for Lilith's safety, he leapt up and grabbed Justicar into a headlock, trying to pull him off by sheer weight alone "Justicar! Stop this! I can deal with Lilith, but I need someone to deal with the other virus! He's the one who caused this mess!"

Kate knelt down beside Jager when she dropped to one knee in pain. "Adrianna! What's wrong? ADRIANNA!" Maximus stepped forth and she was forced to give the giant mech some distance, watching him carry her off. She heard Sam addressing Samuel's choice of action regarding Jager and sighed "Commissioner, please hold off on handing out any punishment. I've been thinking about what to do with this situation since learning about it a some time ago."

[Prythian]

Domain flew across the floor as quickly as he could on his hoverjets alongside Shepard, determination written on his face. "...I'm not a member of the NPD. So I'm going to need to ask you a question, Shepard, for lack of anyone else here right now to ask... do I have permission to use the full extent of my programs in this server?"

Merge flung her shields from her armor, each one widening out and slamming into any stragglers that Dagger had missing, golden tower shields of energy pushing them down against the floor or walls before moving on, leaving them dazed and stunned for Baretta's group to deal with.

Amplify shook her head, dashing forward past shots from the troopers to slice at them with Shattered Skies, all the while Integrate was lashing out with the tail-blade he had grown from her back. Her four free hands were using the shields they had grown to help block shots from getting at the officers. "Not a chance, Noxus! There're no guarantees you wouldn't have the same problem, and I'm not going through this argument again!"

Mirror took aim, shooting two shots from Shattered Skies even as four orbs coalesced around her. "Let's just call it family business!"

[Mani4c]

JARVIS quickly downloaded a readout of every known virus in the area, highlighting the one with the highest concentration of code. <This Virus seems to be an Alpha of some kind, his viral code concentration is equal to a high-S class virus, perhaps even an X-class. I would recommend extreme caution if you're going to combat him.>

War just rolled her eyes and helped Valkyrie to her feet. "Nonsense, you fought until you were nearly unable to move, you did everything that you possibly could. You are the exact opposite of a disgrace." War knelt down so that she was at eye level with Valkyrie, her expression one of sadness. "I...I am more of a disgrace than you, I failed to protect my brother, and now he's been weakened heavily because of it. He's out there in this mess, and I can't help him."

Noxus let our a roar of anger and extended his SpearLegs, impaling four Acid Troopers to the ground, and blowing the head off of a fifth. "FAMILIY BUSINESS!? EVERY TIME YOUR "FAMILY BUSINESS AND I HAVE CROSSED PATHS, IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A DISASTER! I was used by some harlot for MONTHS! My best friend manipulated because of her obsession! I lost my home to your psychopathic brother, everything I built, obliterated to keep Halberd from getting his hands on it! And then you and your neanderthal brother get kidnapped, and I nearly get killed several times trying to help your friends save you! I will NOT be denied my answers, and if you push me..."

Noxus retracted his spearlegs before extending them again, impaling all four of the limbs into another trooper's stomach, Noxus lifted the trooped and dragged him close before grabbing the trooper's head and begining to squeeze. Noxus didn't stop squeezing until the trooper's head exploded, showering his face and torso with blood and bits of code. Noxus dropped the trooper, the blood making him look far more intimidating than he normally would. "I will cease being polite, and FORCE you to answer my questions..." Noxus looked at Amp and Mirror, his eyes narrowing. "Remember that, or Justicar will be the second most dangerous being you'll be dealing with when this is over..."

Thorn was still inside of the same security room as when Hecate had left, security forces had managed to lock her out of the server's controls, and she was currently trying to run a bypass. Suddenly, a portal opened behind Thorn, and Hecate, Kiazer, Massacre, and Genome stepped out. "Thorn, are you done yet? Lord Abraxas is all but finished, he will retrieve Blight while we and the others escape...unless you want to stay here. With your outfit and weapon, I could imagine that you'd enjoy being wrestled to the ground by a bunch of men and handcuffed." Massacre let out a perverted chuckle at the image, his manic grin turning lecherous. "I'd certainly enjoy the show..." Genome rolled his eyes and continued to type on a small data-pad that he had in his hand. "You would, you parasite..."

Justicar growled in anger and snapped his head back in an attempt to headbutt Saber, trying to force the Cyberblade off of him. "Get off of me you ingrate!" Lilith, and by extension, the two swordsmen, crashed to the ground in a tangle of limbs. Justicar manged to extricate himself, roughly pulling his sword from Lilith's back and making her scream in pain. "This sow just tried to kill you, and you still defend her!? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!? I am an expert at how protecting those you care about comes back to bite you, so heed my words very carefully Saber...Kill her now, before you lose the chance."

Justicar seemed ready to attack Saber himself, but the two were interrupted by Abraxas clapping. "My, my...you actually managed to hurt Lilith, I'm impressed." Lilith struggled to her feet, letting out a groan of pain as her wounds sealed shut. "Unfortunately, it's proven a tad ineffective." Lilith walked over to Abraxas and stood next to him, her wings vanishing into her back. "Shall I kill them Lord Abraxas?"

Abraxas smiled and shook his head, "No my dear, I have what I came for...I have humbled the NPD, attacked them where they sleep, and taken one of their own for myself. I am done here, and I must thank you officers for the distraction, my scientific experts have doubtlessly recovered a wealth of information in the fracas." Abraxas was about to speak when he saw Baretta and the others arrive down a hallway, followed shortly by Shepard and her group. "Ah, and now the other players arrive, to late to change the outcome of the game..."

Maximus laid Jäger down and opened a panel on his arm, retrieving a hypodermic gun and several vials. <I AM ADMINISTERING AN ANTIDOTE FOR THE POISONING THAT Jäger IS SUFFERING FROM, I SHALL ALSO PROVIDE HER WITH A SPECIALIZED SERUM THAT SHOULD COUNTERACT THE DAMAGING EFFECTS OF THE STIMULANTS THAT SHE HAS BEEN IMBIBING.> As Maximus began to inject Jäger with the drugs, Samuel looked at Kate, his expression neutral. "So you knew eh? Should have figured, but why not confront me then? I technically broke the law in keeping her hidden, so why humor me? Trying to make it more humiliating for me, or did you see how useful she could be as well?"

[Saber]

Valkyrie wasn't really too sure if she should believe War. She had points of her own, but still "...I'm stuck here, unable to fight the rest of the army, while my allies are fighting as we speak...I couldn't fight any more because I was careless, and now I'm useless in battle. How am I the opposite of a disgrace, when I failed to maintain discipline in the simplest of battles?"

"She isn't how she was before, Abraxas triggered her viral half!" Abraxas cut them off as he readied himself for Justicar to retaliate. Saber simply looked Lilith dead in the eye as she walked over and stood beside Abraxas, addressing him as her lord "For someone who doesn't consider herself a puppet, you certainly talk like one...You've made your point, Lilith, you don't have to leave with him..."

"Oh, I don't think it's a matter having to leave with him, Saber, not anymore." Zeus was casually walking in through another corridor that no one had taken yet, armorless and letting his viral aura run rampant. "She clearly wants to leave of her own free will. Whether that will has been replaced by someone else's or not is irrelevant at this time." During the distraction, a trio of shuriken flew at Abraxas from nowhere, two landing on his spine, the last at the back of his head. The impact alone was short lived, as they all exploded all at once. "And clearly we have a silent, unwanted guest...Hecate, hurry up and bring the others to my location, Abraxas has already claimed what belongs to him, and the current residents clearly don't want to let her go."

Baretta and the others rushed in just as the shuriken were thrown. For the briefest moment, she saw Lilith standing beside the unknown individual, and even Zeus, who was slowly walking closer to the other two "Lilith! What are you doing, get away from them!" "I wouldn't bother, my dear, she's not the same person anymore. In fact, she has plenty of catching up to do with her 'father' and doesn't need you two trying to interfere."

Thorn clicked her tongue when Hecate started berating her while she was rushing to keep ahead of the NPD's security protocols "Shut your mouth you annoying sow. I'd have been done a long time ago, but these damned apes thought of everything to boost their security and prevent hacking. It's like the flesh bags experienced this once before...I was barely able to get a third of their data, and hardly any of it is useful save for a virus archive and a list of transportation programs...If you would give me a couple more minutes, I'll have bypassed their encryption and maybe I can find more for the master."


Kate watched Maximus apply the treatments for Jager's current condition, listening to Samuel monologue about her knowing he had a hidden agenda, then attempting to goad her into admitting he was right "I only knew you were performing in the shadows, I didn't know what you were doing until I got that ping alert from your terminal messaging out to an unregistered contact. You're not in the military anymore, Samuel, you have to follow the laws that the state has established, and that enemy of my enemy mantra is frowned upon here. She may be a victim if circumstance, but she's still a killer, and WILLINGLY does so." She turned and faced Samuel, crossing her arms and glaring at him "You want to prove me wrong, that she CAN be trusted to do the right thing, then here's your chance. You're being reassigned to babysitting duty, starting three days from now. You're to keep watch over Adrianna at all times, and you're to try to reeducate her into having some semblance of control over her murderous impulses. If you succeed, then MAYBE I will reconsider admitting her into NetOps under controlled conditions, until she can prove she's better than what she was." She then stood up and walked over to Samuel, towering over him with a dark rage in her fiery glare "HOWEVER! You still were operating behind the precincts back, and associated and recruited a known killer without informing a superior officer of your actions. As punishment, you're suspended for two days, without pay, and a thorough investigation will be done to see how far into the rabbit hole your decisions have taken you." She held her hand out, palm outstretched "Badge and sidearm, now."

[Prythian]

"Lilith!" The voice came out of nowhere, almost, before Merge unfused with Dagger and landed apart from the rest of the avatars in their groups. She reached out a hand pleadingly towards her. "You swore you would use my data only for good. For those worth protecting! For those I would protect if I were there!" She took a step forward, hand reaching outwards. "Is this really your choice? To go with the person who tried destroying this place? To break your promise?" She shook her head. "I refuse to believe the person who kept my existence a secret even from the NPD would do such a thing!"

Mirror's eyes blazed. "Like it or not, Noxus, this isn't something that needs to be handled now! Amplify and I have already agreed that it needs to be left UNTIL this is all over!" Amplify, meanwhile, was finishing off the last of the troopers. As she did so, she whirled around to glare at Noxus herself. "More to the point, if your reaction to being told not to worry about something is to immediately threaten a Net Operative and her family..." Mirror changed into Noxus. "...then you might not be in control of yourself enough to be allowed to walk around this server! You have just proven Amplify's point about not telling you this!"

[Mani4c]

Mani4c activated his code scanner, running a diagnostic on Lilith. when it returned it's results, it showed that everything was the same, except for one thing. Mani4c wordlessly drew his De-rez rifle and leveled it at Lilith, firing a burst of rounds that struck her chest. "ARGH!" Onimaru grabbed Mani4c's shoulder. "BAKA! What are you doing!?" Mani4c shoved Onimaru away. "That's not Lilith! That's...someone else, Lilith's personality code is...it's gone, those fuckers reformatted Lilith and replaced her." Mani4c looked at Merge, when she began trying to appeal to the promise Lilith made her, running a scan of her code to find her ID tag. "MERGE! GET BACK!" Murakumo flew past Mani4c and put herself in front of Merge, spreading her arms wide and placing her blade's in front of her, cannon barrels glowing red. "Listen to him, this woman is not the one who made that promise...I'm sorry, truly."

Justicar leveled his sword at Abraxas, who's wounds had sealed as quickly as they had come, his body showing no signs of Dagger's stealth attack. Justicar's body began to exude a white aura that was as cold as ice, his anger finding a new target, and intensifying even further than before. "You...you took the love of Viral's life, and made her his enemy...I...I WILL ERASE YOU FROM EXISTENCE!" Justicar activated his rage form again, summoning an orb in his hand. "TASTE OBLIVION ABRAXAS!" Justicar hurled the orb at Abraxas, hoping to vaporize him and negate his healing ability.

Hecate smirked, about to retort when Zeus called her, telling her that Abraxas had gotten what he needed. "Unfortunately, Lord Abraxas has what he needs, your science project will have to wai-" Kaizer cut Hecate off, his tone oddly amicable. "If you need a distraction, I can provide. Once Justicar realizes that I'm free from him, he will focus on me entirely. If this fellow here-" Kaizer gestured at Genome. "Can assist you in hacking the server, I can give security something else to track, perhaps that will weaken it a bit."

Genome nodded. "I had little trouble in the science department, I'll give it a whirl." Kaizer chuckled. "Excellent! Now then, Hecate, could you transmit a message for me?" Hecate nodded and used her magic to create a glyph, hacking the server's PA system. "Justicar! It seems you've misplaced something! Come and get me...if you can that is." Hecate dispelled the glyph. "Now what?" "Send me to the roof of the server, he will come to me." Hecate nodded and opened another portal, Kaizer quickly stepped through it as it closed behind him.

"MY REACTION!?" Noxus stormed over to Mirror, his eyes blazing purple. "I AM SICK OF SECRETS! OF BEING LEFT IN THE DARK! I RISKED MY LIFE SAVING YOU AND YOUR WORTHLESS BROTHER IN THAT SERVER! MY LIFE HAS BEEN SYSTEMATICALLY DESTROYED, AND EVERY TIME SOMETHING WENT WRONG, YOU'RE FAMILY WAS AT THE ROOT OF IT ALL!" Noxus' fists clenched at the memory of Halberd storming the Library, the footage of Amp deleting Justicar, while the Swordsman may have animosity towards Integrate, Noxus held no love for any of the AUGMENTs, and now his anger was showing through. "All I have left is my brother, he is the only thing I care about, and if you keep a secret that could hurt him...I will return the favor tenfold, to every single person you care about. So do not try and threaten me you petulant little brat, I don't care who you're dating, or who your brother is...as far as I'm concerned, you are just another threat to my happiness, like every AUGMENT before has proven to be."

Noxus' voice was as cold as ice, and for the first time, his viral nature was showing through. "Now get out of my sight. These viruses are using viral code based acid, I am immune, and you are not. If you were to die, I'm sure the swine behind us would blame me. After all...I might not be in control of myself. And who knows, maybe these viruses will do your job for you." Noxus stormed off, heading off in the direction that the Acid Troopers had come from.

Samuel's expression quickly became one of annoyance as Kate laid into him about hiding his intentions from her and Sam, culminating in her ordering him to surrender his badge and gun. "You just don't get it...I wouldn't expect you to, you still believe in the laws, you're not used to war either. I shouldn't be surprised." Samuel drew his sidearm, emptying the magazine and clearing the chamber before handing it to Kate butt first. "This is not an enemy you can fight while staying on the up-and-up Kathryn. These people WRITE those laws you're so hard up on obeying. They're going to hang you, and they won't even have to put the noose around your neck, cause you've done it for them." Sam pulled out his badge next, handing them to Kate his own glare matching her own in intensity. "And if I recall correctly, you don't mind hiring killers and madmen, is that because the one's at risk don't stay dead if the risky one's misbehave?"

Alexi stood up at Samuel's remark. "That's going too far Samuel! And you know it." Samuel looked at Alexi. "No, mentioning the fact that she did the exact same thing months before with a surveillance program designed to intrude into the lives of millions of people would be too far." Sam's eyes widened. "What is he talking about?" Samuel's expression turned to surprise. "You...you weren't told? The WNSC was writing a report on it, someone leaked the info and there was going to be an inquiry...ah, I see. he's a clever devil, he probably deleted that as soon as he got back from his short stint as a vigilante. Heads will roll if this gets out..."

Samuel's face broke into a knowing smirk, his eyes bearing a mischevious glint to them. "Well...I might get along well here after all, you just...need to befriend the right people, isn't that right Kate?" Samuel walked past Kate, stopping to look at Maximus. "Have someone drop her off after this is over, I need to prepare my house for a guest." Samuel left the room, his hands placed in his pockets. 

Sam looked at Kate, her expression one of anger. "What...was...he...talking about Kate?"

[Saber]

A large Gorilla virus leapt up in front of the blast, leaving Abraxas completely unharmed as the virus took the brunt of the blast. Another Gorilla virus was standing beside Abraxas and Lilith, thumping its chest aggressively and letting out a monstrous bellow. Zeus sighed and started sending static into Hecate's audio receptors, getting impatient <We're leaving now! Hecate!> Saber dashed forward when the orb failed to do its job, his sword shifting to burst blade as he rushed for Abraxas "Damn you!!!" Baretta and Rotor started targeting the large virus, aiming to keep it distracted or deleting it to make the odds more in their favor. Zeus, bored with this debacle, started to walk out of the room "I've done my job, Abraxas, you can play with the police while I take my leave." His attention turned to Lilith, a calm gaze meeting her eyes "Coming, Lilith?"

Dagger placed an invisible hand on Merge's shoulder, keeping her from getting too close "She isn't the same person, Merge, her viral code is overriding her logic code. Reasoning with her is pointless as she is now.

Kate sighed and placed the surrendered sidearm and badge on a counter "Even trying to bury the past, it still haunts me..." When Sam started boring her eyes into Kate, she didn't look into Sam's, finally defeated "...A decision from my foolish ambitions that I never should have made..." She unclipped her badge and set it beside Samuel's, placing both hands on the counter "...There was a bombing half a year ago, two different locations were targeted...I used Mani4c's viral code to create a tracking program to try and collect data for the investigation...And my ambitions got the better of me...I ordered Mani4c to send that program out into the internet, to monitor hacking attempts anywhere in the immediate vicinity of the precinct...monitoring that has long since been erased from the server and my terminal...Yet even trying to correct and bury my mistakes, to make things right...they continue to haunt me, no matter how hard I try and prevent others from repeating my mistakes..." She dug her fingers into the counter, clenching her hands into fists "...I was no better than Samuel was in recruiting Jager, and he knows it...I was just too proud to admit it in front of him...It's time I corrected my final mistake..." She turned and started leaving the room, avoiding eye contact with anyone else in the room "... I'm going to collect my terminal...Appoint a new captain, I'm done."

[Prythian]

Mirror sighed. "He has no idea that in threatening 'every person I care about' he just threatened his brother, does he?"

Amplify shook her head. "We need to go anyway. Justicar had enough faith in him in the past that I think he can take care of this by himself... and you can feel it too, can't you?" She tilted her head towards Mirror, as one hand pointed in a direction. "When I followed one pull... I found you. There were two others at the time... but now there's just one. And if one led me to you..."

Mirror's eyes widened. "...Domain... and the fifth one he's mentioned. You're right... we have to go." Quick as a flash, she changed back from Noxus into Amplify's form, and without any more words the two of them flew off on Shattered Skies.

Merge slumped, orb behind her falling. "I can't accept that... someone replaced her? But if you guys could stop her from leaving... if she was here... there's a chance she could be fixed." The orb rapidly reconfigured itself into wings, and she shook Dagger's hand off, flying past Murakumo in a flash, wings flaring as she pushed them to their limit, shields flying in front of her in an attempt to knock the gorilla to the side. "LILITH!"

Domain arrived just in time to see Merge throwing herself forward at a virus, and reacted almost on instinct, shooting his fists out to their maximum length to try and grab her... only to fall just short as they reached the end of their chain.

[Mani4c]

"DAMN FOOL!" A glyph appeared less than a foot in front of Merge, blocking her path to Lilith and the other viruses. Totenkopf, who was currently missing an arm and was suffering from several injuries that should have crippled him, stumbled into the room, his sword pointed at Merge. "Apologies Baretta, I tried to take down Zeus on my own, he was stronger than I thought..." Totenkopf looked at Lilith, who simply stared back at him. "So this is the path you choose is it? The failing is mine..." Lilith arched an eyebrow, "Oh? How do you mean?" Totenkopf shook his head. "I abandoned you, thinking you to be nothing more than some parasite that Abraxas had stuck inside of me...If I had been there, I could have shown you that your viral nature isn't something to be feared, and this wouldn't have happened."

Lilith laughed. "You heroic types always put yourselves on the cross, this is my choice to make. Just as she spoke, a portal opened in the center of the room. "See? Speak of the devil and she shall appear, Let's go."

Lilith moved towards the portal, stopping to look at Viral, who was struggling to get to his feet, his wounds half-healed and his eyes dull. I seemed that seeing Lilith be replaced by her viral half had driven him even more mad than he already was "You should tend your wounded, this battle is over, and I don't want this war to be a slaughter." With that, Lilith entered the portal, being whisked away from the battlefield and to where Abraxas had made his headquarters. (Exit Lilith)

Justicar let out a roar of anger when he heard Kaizer's voice, quickly checking his code to find that this wasn't a trick. "Bastard must have slipped out when I was fighting with Masamune...Baretta, what's the quickest way to the roof!? If I know that worm he's trying to goad me out of the building..."

Murakumo grit her teeth in annoyance and opened fire on Abraxas with her cannons to assist Saber, unleashing a hail of blistering laserfire. "Burn him to a cinder, that should keep him from healing..." Mani4c followed her lead, dropping to one knee and opening up with his Rifle. "DUST THIS MOTHERFUCKER!"

Abraxas felt the laser bursts and De-Rez rounds strike him, the injuries stung a bit, but he wasn't overly bothered by them, it was Saber's attack that caused him a decent amount of pain. The exploding strike hit Abraxas dead center in the stomach, blasting Abraxas in half and sending him flying.

Viral watched Lilith leave through the portal, his mind was a haze of rage, grief and self-hatred. 'I failed her...she betrayed me...Please, don't go...' Viral stood up, his eyes suddenly snapping into focus. He grit his teeth and glared at Zeus, his fists clenched as rage overtook his senses. The Manifest Engine that had replaced his eye glowed bright green, the energy ripping apart his cosmetic code. A viral aura swirled around him, the ground at his feet cracking as it began to eat away at the server's infrastructure. Viral threw his arms at his sides and let loose a roar of rage, a wave of viral energy exploding outward and tearing through the server. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!" Viral sprinted at Zeus, forcing his arms to transform into claws, and destroying his own body's framework even further.

Noxus stormed through the server, gutting any viruses he came across. This entire section of the server had become a stinking swamp of acid and poison, half dissolved corpses sinking into steaming pools of acidic muck. "What a disgusting creature...even if I was still researching viral evolution, I'd have called you a dead end." Noxus arrived at what seemed to be the epicenter of the destruction, a huge pool of acid that released noxious fumes. Had Noxus been a normal avatar, he'd more than likely be suffering from 20 different types of poison by now. "Come out you slimy bastard! I'm not in the mood to play hide and go seek..."

Sam stormed forward when Kate began to leave, grabbing her by the shoulder and spinning her around. "GROW UP! IF I WANTED YOU SHIT-CANNED I'D HAVE FUCKING DONE IT KATHRYN!" Sam's breathing was heavy, her expression one of unrestrained anger. "I have lost enough goddamn officers today! What you did was arrogant, stupid, and wrong, but you've always conducted yourself in the most ethical manner possible. So I reject your resignation Captain Bale, and if you don't stop with the self pity I'll fucking belt you in the goddamn mouth!" At this point Sam had grabbed Kate by the lapels, and was inches from her face as she screamed at her.

Deluca of all people chose to step in at this point, the rest of the officers, even Alexi, to stunned by Sam's outburst to react. The former IA officer put his hands between Sam and Kate and shoved them apart. "ENOUGH! If you two want to have a cat-fight, save it until AFTER we're in the middle of a fucking war, would you please?" Deluca looked at Kate. "Look Kate, you may think that you're an asshole, but let me drop some knowledge on you, I am an asshole. Vasili was an asshole. You, are a hard-ass who needs to lighten up, but you're also a damn good cop. So quit fucking beating yourself up  and get back in the fight for god's sake!"

[Saber]

Dagger reached for Merge and grabbed her more firmly, trying to keep her from making mistakes that might cost her her existence "Merge, stop. There's nothing we can do for her right now, you have to get control of yourself."

Saber saw Abraxas split in half from his strike, his sword splitting into its shockfire blades as he leapt up "Oh no you don't!" His swords were poised to strike with a cross slash, aiming to continue carving Abraxas until nothing was left.

Zeus smirked and let Viral rip him to shreds, his final words before his code degraded beyond regeneration were "...The war has already begun..." his code vanished, and the server was cleared of his control, all of the cells returning to normal and locking normally again. He reanimated with the use of the virus left outside, looking around and noticing a larger virus attacking the smaller ones and became intrigued "...Interesting...This will be news that will be useful to Abraxas..." He started strolling away from the battle, arms folded behind him as he left for Abraxas' home base.

At this point, Kate's anger was just as peaked as Sam's, and was glaring back at her, and meeting her glare with an equally furious one "It's not just my mistakes SAMANTHA! It's the constant insubordination. You saw what Samuel pulled before walking out of this room! How can I maintain my position as captain when I can't even maintain order in my OWN FUCKING PRECINCT!" She knocked Sam's arm off of her, and kept her gaze fixed on Sam "Deluca's right in one sense. I may be a damn good cop, but that doesn't mean shit for my current rank if I can't keep my officers in line when they fuck up. I refuse to lead a team I cannot trust to follow orders and I'm done trying to set moral standards that are repeatedly ignored. You need someone with a clean record at the helm, not someone with baggage that people will use against you when you try to do what's right." She turned her back to Sam and continued walking out, remaining firm in her decision "I need a better reason to stay than my ethics, Commissioner-hell, I need FIVE. So you better punch me now, because I'm walking out that door..."

[Prythian]

"Oh? But you seem to play it so well..."

Blight chuckled, rising up inside of the pool. "As for evolutionary dead ends... every life form inevitably evolves into something that can destroy itself. I am the pinnacle of evolution... I can reduce you all to nothing." Then, without warning, his snake-like fingers lashed out, stretching outwards with mouths open wide to constrict Noxus and bite him repeatedly. The poison oozing from his skin faded to be replaced by a pink gas spreading outwards. "You seem to be resilient to my acid... perhaps more conventional damage would fare better? It's not many who can withstand the poisons of the Creeping Destruction..."

Amplify and Mirror burst into the room. Seeing Saber attacking someone, Mirror went into action almost instantly, using an orb she'd gathered to fire a bunch of blasts directly at the pieces of Abraxas. Amplify, for her part, charged in, tail-blade and Shattered Skies swinging at the nearest piece of Abraxas she could once Mirror's blasts landed.

Domain, meanwhile, had rushed over to Merge, who was kneeling on the ground, wincing from the impact with the glyph. "...She's gone..." Domain put one large hand on her shoulder. "We'll find her and get her back. That was brave." The second sentence was said in almost the same breath as the first, both of them stated as if they were immutable fact. "Try to temper bravery with some forethought, though."

[Mani4c]

Totenkopf dropped to the floor, his breathing ragged as he closed his eyes. "G-god damn it..." The reaper avatar could feel his processes slowing down, the damage to his code was too severe to endure any longer. But before his body fell apart, he felt a surge of energy, he opened his eyes and saw The Doctor tending his wounds, the tip of his sonic screwdriver glowing a soothing blue color. "You're not dead yet mate, I called Forge and Amaterasu in, they ran into a woman calling herself War on the way here." Totenkopf's eyes widened under his hood, his sister was here!? "I-is she..." The Doctor nodded, "She's alright, she was helping another woman to the R&D department, said that she was hurt pretty bad and needed someone who could fix them up quick. Forge pointed them towards Bit." Totenkopf nodded, he was more ambivalent towards Bit than the others, her analytical personality being somewhat similar to his own when under normal circumstances. "Good, that's good."

A small portion of Abraxas' body somehow managed to escape being destroyed by the group, skidding across the floor and coming to rest in a corner of the room. The mangled piece of flesh began to convulse almost immediately, small tendrils snaking out of it as it began to swell up and writhe. "What the fuck!?" The piece of flesh suddenly ballooned outwards and exploded in a hail of wet chunks of meat, and in it's place stood Abraxas, with not a single trace of damage on his person. "Oh that is BULLSHIT!"

Abraxas looked at Viral for a moment, a smirk playing across his face. "That was strenuous, but it's time for me to go...thank you very much for the time, I assure you, we will meet again very soon." Abraxas extended his hand and snapped his fingers, another portal opening up right behind him. "Farewell my friends, better luck next time." A hail of gunfire erupted as Abraxas stepped into the portal, the despot ignoring the pieces of flesh that were being torn off by the fusillade of energy bolts and de-rez shots. As soon as his body had vanished, the portal collapsed behind him, ensuring his escape. 

Noxus ignored the poison gas in the air, to him it merely smelled bad, but to a normal avatar it should have made even the smallest breath agony. He could feel the poison being injected into his body as well, but his viral code simply snuffed it out. "I'm afraid that fighting fire with fire does not work with viral hybrids like me...you'd have an easier time teaching an amoeba to play Mozart..." Noxus' tone was mocking as he spoke, his left arm shifting into a rapid fire De-rez cannon. "This however..." Noxus leveled the cannon at Blight and began to fire, taking advantage of the fact that his snake-fingers were essentially locking him in place as long as they were biting him. "Is far more effective at deleting you."

Sam reared her fist back, prepared to follow up on her promise, but she suddenly felt a much larger hand grab her arm, keeping her from hitting Kate. <YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH...CAPTAIN BALE IS CAPABLE OF RETIRING IF SHE WANTS.> Maximus had finished injecting Jäger with her meds, and was holding Sam back with no trouble whatsoever. <CAPTAIN, AS A MEDICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFESSIONAL, IT IS MY OPINION THAT YOU NEED TIME TO PROCESS WHAT YOU TRULY WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE. HOWEVER, USE THIS TIME TO ALSO PONDER HOW YOUR COMRADES THINK, I BELIEVE THAT IT WILL ASSIST YOU IN MAKING YOUR CHOICE. AS WELL AS HELP YOU UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR LEADERSHIP SKILLS COULD BE IMPROVED.> 

Unbeknownst to the other's in the group Jäger's eyes had fluttered open, but they lacked the piercing glare that they normally held, replaced with a soft, thoughtful look. Her face seemed to soften entirely, the anger and madness replaced with a mixture of curiosity, worry, and most suprisingly, sadness. This wasn't Jäger who had just awoken, it was the young girl who's life had been stolen from her, who's destiny was now intertwined with that of her agressive alternate personality. Adrianna Weaver had returned.

[Saber]

Saber launched a single wave from his breaker blade, hoping to do more damage to the seemingly immortal virus. But when the portal closed completely, he just stood there, holding the handle of his sword as it rested on the floor. His body started to experience some frame loss in his movement, his body overutilizing its processors for too long in his limit break form. But he was too frozen from the shock of their failure to acknowledge his own situation.

Dagger noticed Saber's condition and walked over to his larger brother. He was going to say something, but the comparison in size and stature to Halberd was too eerie for him, and he walked away as stealthily as he approached. But Baretta was the one to point this out instead "...Saber...The worst of the danger is over...Power down..." Saber barely registered Baretta's words, his head barely shifting to the side before he changed back. But the recoil of this use was far worse than the last few times he's used this form, his entire body locking up as he collapsed forward. His vision darkened slowly as he started to fall into sleep mode.

Kate paused long enough to listen to Maximus finish talking, before continuing out the door without another word. A single teardrop stained the floor she once stood on, shining against what little light was in the room still.

[Prythian]

As Blight got shot, he began to laugh, slowly at first, then wildly. "Your immunity... intriguing. If I figure out how to beat it... anyone without it will stand no chance from the start. Poor deluded fool..." The gas faded away as poison began dripping from Blight's body again. One of the snakes stopped biting for a moment and then spit venom directly at Noxus's eyes. Even without the damage from the acidic toxic, the sticky poison could temporarily blind him. Meanwhile, another of Blight's fingers began coiling around Noxus's throat to choke him, Blight seemingly disregarding the damage he was taking in his ecstasy of destruction.

"You!" The voice came seemingly from Amplify, but was clearly not her voice, as she turned to look at Merge. Amplify raised an eyebrow. "She has to also be from the project!"

Domain stiffened, looking at the golden-armored Amplify. "You appear to have someone else with you..." Mirror nodded, turning towards Amplify. "Right. Now it's time to deal with this. Baretta, once you're sure Saber is okay, I need some officers to surround Amplify and watch her for any sudden changes." Her voice went very calm. "We are in the presence of my prodigal brother, who appears to have decided to help us." Her wavering voice barely betrayed her concern about Saber as she tried to be as professional as possible.

Merge looked at Amplify, but her vision started fading as her eyelids drooped. "Dagger... it's happening again..." She slumped downwards as her orb began shaking, breaking apart into bits of data floating around her. Domain let go of her, backing off. "What's happening to her?!"

[Mani4c]

Noxus grit his teeth as the poison hit him in the eyes, the stream causing his vision to blur. "Blast!" He grabbed at the snake winding it's way around his neck, using his fingers to keep his airway somewhat clear. "Get off of me you blasted..." Noxus activated his armor's tendrils, the thin whiplike cords shooting backwards and grabbing onto exposed pieces of the server's framework, the tendrils began to quickly reel in, trying to pull Noxus free from Blight's grip.

Mani4c ran over to Saber and knelt down, his helmet's scanner giving him a reading on his damaged code. "Shit, he's locked up, badly." Totenkopf nodded at The Doctor, "H-help Saber...I'm not at risk of dying anymore." The Doctor nodded and ran over to the injured Cyberblade, his Sonic Screwdriver's tip changing to a light green color. "Just  a second Saber, I'm speeding your processes up to half speed, this'll keep you from blacking out while I assess the damage."

Justicar walked over to Merge, his rage form fading away. "My spirit's reacting to her, her code's fluctuating rapidly, but I can't sense any specifics." Shepard ran over to Merge as well, the OOO driver deactivating as she did, she knelt down and placed a finger to her ear. "Bit! I've got an avatar here going through some kind of code fluctuation, I need you here NOW, we don't have enough people to spare here!"

Meanwhile, Hecate looked at Genome and Thorn, the duo had nearly cracked the security around the R&D departments projects file. "Just a minute more..." Abraxas appeared next to Hecate, who wrapped her arms around his and pulled herself closer. "Lord Abraxas...I'm glad that you're alright." Abraxas chuckled and gave Hecate a pat on the head with his free hand. "Did you doubt my abilities Hecate? I'm hurt."

Hecate winced, "N-no my lord! I-I was simply expressing my joy at your..." Abraxas laughed again. "I'm kidding Hecate, I know what you meant." Hecate blushed slightly, she had embarrassed herself in front of that cow Thorn. "Thorn, Genome, I specifically ordered you to evacuate before I did, why did you disobey me?"

Alexi watched Kate leave the precinct, her words echoing inside of his head. "She can't trust us? After all we've been through, after all that we've done..." The Russian Officer clenched his fists angrily, his expression cycling through one of hurt to one of anger. "Fine, if I'm not worthy of her trust, then I don't deserve this fucking badge!" Alexi pulled his own badge out and tossed it on the ground. "I'm done, after everything that's happened...I just took a GODDAMN BULLET on her behalf!" Alexi began to storm out of the room, but was blocked by Maximus. <AS CRUEL AS HER WORDS WERE, SHE HAD A POINT.> "A POINT!? WHAT GIVES HER THE RIGHT TO INSULT MY MORALITY, MY LOYALTY!? I LOVED HER MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF, AND SHE JUST SPIT IN MY GODDAMN FACE!"

Maximus' response was surprising, his metallic tone carrying a clear hint of anger. <And you have all been no help in making her understand your views! You have simply argued and belittled her! Bringing up a mistake she clearly regrets to prove your own point!> Alexi stepped back at Maximus' outburst. <She comes from a long line of law officers, her entire moral compass is  derived from the word of law. You have different opinions, but instead of speaking to her rationally, trying to Enlighten her on your views, you fought her at every turn! The fact that she has quit just now shows that she wanted to make things work, but you, Samuel and Mani4c refused to give her a chance to explain herself.>

Deluca stepped forward now, throwing in his two cents. "The tin can is right! You fucking pushed her away yourselves, don't blame her for your own fuck up!" Alexi turned to Deluca, a look of hatred in his eyes. "WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW YOU FUCKING TRAITOR!?" Deluca fired back. "I KNOW THAT YOU, SAM, THE LIMEY, AND THOSE TWO FUCKING DYKES WERE TOO BUSY STROKING YOUR OWN DICKS TO EVEN THINK ABOUT KATE'S FEELINGS ON THE MATTER PETROVIK! I MAY BE A SLIMEBALL, BUT I'LL BE DAMNED IF I LET YOU ASSHOLES GET OFF WITH DOING WHAT YOU DID TO KATE WITHOUT GETTING AN EARFUL! SHE MAY HAVE PUT ME AWAY, BUT I RESPECTED HER INTELLIGENCE AND WILLPOWER!" Alexi charged at Deluca, ready to strangle the former officer...

It was then that Adrianna made her presence known, her soft voice somehow cutting through the vicious argument. "Why don't you all just give her a chance to cool off and apologize to her?" Erika and Mary turned to Adrianna, their expressions one of surprise. "Jäger?" Adrianna shook her head. "I'm not Jäger, my name is Adrianna Weaver, I was the original owner of Jäger's body. We're kind of...sharing at the moment?"

[Saber]

Kate had been walking silently to the locker room, watching the other officer's as they were cuffing the criminals throughout the precinct, who had just surrendered following their leader's demise. If she was still in command, she'd have made an appeal to have high security prisons like Alcatraz restored and put into use. Upon finally reaching her locker, she picked up her terminal and started reaching out to her partner "...Baretta, what's your status?"

Baretta walked over to Saber, checking him over "...He seems fine at a first glance...but I've never seen him shut down completely like this, I'm going to need to have Bit look over his code to see how bad he's gotten from pushing his limits." It was then that Baretta received a message from Kate, isolated to her connection alone "Kathryn? We're fine, the worst of the infestation has been dealt with internally, we just have to purge the rest of it with the server's security systems...Why are you on a private channel?" <We'll talk about that later...Listen, make sure the server stays under control while you're cleaning things up, and don't take any backtalk from anyone, understand?>" Baretta was silent for a while when Kate started talking strange, something was off "...Kathryn...What's wrong? You sound distressed." <...Now isn't the time for that...We'll talk about it later...at home...>

Baretta was still concerned for Kate, but she knew that she wasn't going to get anything out of her partner until she was ready, so she let it slide for now "...Alright...I'll keep you posted..." Sighing, she cut the connection and stood up, walking over to Forge and Onimaru "Onimaru, can you bring Saber to Bit? I need to know what is status is after his extensive use of limit break...I've never seen it become a visual effect from use. Forge? please accompany Onimaru back to R&D and make sure they all make it back safely."

Thorn Tensed up when Abraxas spoke behind them, and Hecate started clinging to him like a child. When he addressed her, asking why she and the others didn't leave before he did, she flinched, still focused on the kiosk and attempting to hack it further, but with little progress "...I'm trying to fulfill your orders, master, but their server is better protected than I first believed. All I have managed to obtain was data on their virus archives, some vehicle schematics, and archived statistics on some of the less confidential officers in the system..." She stopped punching keys and lowered her head shamefully "I wasn't able to gain access to their entire database as you asked...I will accept any punishment you choose to deliver unto me, my master..."

Dagger lifted his proxy program as Merge started to enter sleep mode, lifting her body up to support her. When Domain asked what was happening, he looked at the tall avatar with a calm gaze "...Her code is altering...I need to bring her somewhere secure, until this passes...She's vulnerable like this..."

[Prythian]

Domain sighed. "The most secure place I can guarantee at the moment would probably be the holding cells..." Mirror glanced over at them. "...We'll ALL go. I need to make sure Integrate is put into one of those cells himself, and I want to know more information about this possible sister of mine. What do you think, Amp?" Amplify's eyes glittered. "I have to admit my own curiosity... and you can't take Integrate to the cells without me, since he's currently on me."

"Her code is very mutable." Mirror and Domain stiffened, turning towards Amplify, who had a look of surprise on her own voice. "It's more stable than mine, but that isn't saying much. It converted my own data into a similar format. I'm not surprised that too much input could cause it to change." Integrate fell silent once more.

Merge drifted away into sleep mode, her body visibly relaxing at Dagger began to support her. The bits of code floated around her torso, seemingly unsure about where to go as of yet. Mirror nodded. "If you could carry her... I doubt you'd trust us with her right away... just follow me." With that, Mirror turned and began to walk towards the nearest set of holding cells, which hadn't been big targets during the invasion.

Blight simply let go, fingers retracting as Noxus pulled away. "Can't fight fire with fire, hm? You seem awfully unprepared for someone who was... what was it... researching viral evolution? Overconfident, powerful, and foolish... just the people I love to break down into nothing but zeroes." He paused, giving a tarry chuckle. "But then, I love to break down everything. For example..." He shot forward, acidic poison spreading out from underneath him as he moved around on a jet of poison shooting from the undersides of his feet, leaving a trail behind him as he moved all around the area. This poison he had made specially slippery, like grease, but it was still eating into the ground. "...I may not be able to melt you yet... but what about this precious server?" He spat a blob of the poison directly at the ground below Noxus.

[Mani4c]

Viral stood amidst the chaos around him, his expression blank and uncaring, the only thing on his mind was Lilith leaving. He could feel anger, grief, and shame boiling inside of him simultaneously, the emotions threatening to destroy what little sanity that he had... So he stood, staring blankly at a far wall as his thoughts were consumed by his rampaging emotions, just like the viral damage was consuming his rapidly decaying body.

The Doctor looked at Onimaru and nodded, letting him know that it was safe to move Saber. Onimaru knelt down and picked Saber up Bridal style, looking at his injured friend. "I'll get you to Bit quick Saber..." Onimaru ran off towards Forge's lab.

Justicar stood up and nodded. "I'm coming with you, I'll be damned if I leave Amp alone without extra backup." Justicar, whether on purpose or by accident, had excluded the AUGMENTS from his assessment as to what qualified as "Backup", if he even had noticed his mistake, he gave no indication that he did so, waiting for The AUGMENTS to begin moving Merge.

Abraxas chuckled at Thorn's anxiety. "It's nothing my dear...your reason if perfectly acceptable. As it is, I need to retrieve Blight, no doubt he's having his fun and melting part of the server. Just finish up what you can and leave with Hecate once I give the signal." Abraxas looked back at Hecate, who nodded and opened another portal. The viral despot stepped through the opening and arrived at the site of Blight and Noxus' battle. "Blight! I'm afraid that play time is over. Let's get moving."

Noxus looked at Abraxas and scowled, "Abraxas I presume? Your reputation is quite impressive...pity I can't afford to vivisect you and see what makes you tick." Noxus' arm shifted into a grenade launcher as Noxus leveled the weapon at Abraxas. "Go to oblivion where you belong you monster!" Noxus fired four grenades at Abraxas, the rounds hitting the ground around Abraxas' feet. The blast was still intense enough to rip Abraxas' legs off, as well as char his face.

Alexi was stopped from striking Deluca by Maximus, who grabbed the Russian officer by the head. <I am applying pressure to the thickest part of your skull, if you continue to act in this manner Officer Petrovik, I will pass an electrical charge through your brain tissue and leave you thrashing on the ground as you soil yourself. DO NOT test me...>

Adrianna got to her feet, her legs shaking as she did. "Look, I don't know any of you...but it sounds like all of this could have been solved if you had simply talked to one another. Just give her some space and speak to her after a couple of days once things have calmed down. Maybe she'll be willing to listen to you then."

Erika didn't respond, he thoughts had turned to this new development. Adrianna was essentally a 10 year old girl in a 20 year old's body, she was suffering from DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder) and she being placed in Samuel's care, Erika had seen the man's apartment, he didn't have the space to take care of her, let alone help Jäger's murderous behavior. "Sam...I need to talk to you."

[Saber]

Dagger nodded and crouched down to hook his arm under her legs, carrying Merge bridal style as Mirror and the others led him to the holding cells, where he could place Merge and wait with her until she was able to recover fully "...When the cell gets shut, do not activate any program locks in the cell we stay in...I do not know if that will interfere with her changes, nor do I want to test it..."

Thorn blushed and nodded, returning to her work more diligently than before "Th-Thank you master, I will do everything in my power to gain knowledge that may please you."
