Raising the Stakes (Saber)

[Saber]

Saber looked at Noxus, completely dumbstruck that he was taking Mani4c's side in a situation where logic would actually need to play a part in a fight that would take strategy. Sighing loudly, he walked toward the hole that Noxus' impact formed "Un-fucking-believable...Aren't you supposed to be his logic data? What is going through that head of yours?" He gave time for Noxus to at least try and explain his reasoning, but truthfully, he stopped caring at this point "Whatever...Let's just delete this guy and be done with this day..." Leaping through the hole, he had his sword at the ready, and landed beside the two viral avatars.

When they got there, Zeus was walking slowly towards them, his aura contained within himself, and streams of corrupt code flying into him as he approached. Pure rage was in his eye, his armor no longer stable enough to stay on his body as the data was flowing into him "I tried to be logical...I tried to show you just how pointless your resistance really was...But I see that stupidity must run in your core...I cannot die you simpleton! And I am going to enjoy watching you suffer as the virus god lays waste to this pitiful world!" His body was becoming pitch black, roaring out in pure rage as multicolored cracks shone through the darkness until he exploded in a nova-like blast. After the data exploded, it just seemed to sit there, suspended in midair, before it began swirling and condensing, forming into a much, MUCH larger monstrosity. This beast looked down at Mani4c, Noxus, and Saber with glowing white eyes, roaring out in a continuous echo, before throwing a large chuck of one of the building's roof at them.

Saber rolled out of the way of the debris, before shifting into his limit breaker form, and holding his large breaker blade at the ready "See? How are we supposed to handle that?! We need a plan of attack!"

Baretta hissed at Sieg as he advanced, but snapped her head in the direction of the doctor as he made his dynamic entrance. LEveling her guns at the doctor, she started opening fire at him, as he was the biggest threat at the moment.

Kate picked off any bot that got too close to Alexi or the group, checking out of the scope now and then to get the big picture and find any holo bots that weren't yet in her scope "How are we doing Erika? Need any help dealing with those bots?"

[Mani4c]

Noxus rolled his eyes, "You've never heard of a Tranquil fury have you?" Mani4c interrupted the two with an explosive shot from his arm cannon, vaporizing the chunk of rooftop that was aimed at them. "I have a plan...Saber, pick him off from a distance, Noxus, you're mid-range with those repeaters of yours, as for me..."

Mani4c dispelled his arm cannon and cracked his fists. "I'm going to beat him to death, and Saber, if you complain you're next! I can regenerate in this form, so I can afford to take risks! If you don't like it, fuck off and go help Baretta, cause this second guessing is more annoying than the whining about your brothers at this point." Mani4c's voice was much harsher, even with his renewed focus, he was still irritable. Mani4c dashed forward, seeming to vanish before suddenly reappearing a Zeus' feet, leaping up into the air with his fist cocked back.

Lilith noticed a glint of gold next to the TARDIS and dove down to see what it was, Kivat's cage was laying on the ground, with the bat program trying to break free. "Kivat!" The program looked at Lilith and smiled. "Lilith-chan! Good to see you! can you get this blasted cage open?" Lilith lifted the cage and opened it, Kivat flew out and hovered at eye level with Lilith. "Yosha! thank you Lilith-Chan! Do you want to fuse with me?" "No, I need you to find Mani4c, I can smell his and Viral's code mixing again, that means that he's in trouble, more than we are. Can you safely fuse with a viral entity?" Kivat nodded. "It was a feature that The Doctor said was vital, I'll get to Mani4c ASAP!" Kiva flew off towards Mani4c and Lilith ran at Baretta, opening fire on her while her back was turned. 

Totenkopf leaped down to street level and charged Baretta, swinging at her legs with his scythe. "Let's what you've got!" Sieg threw his blades at Baretta to divert her attention before running at her and trying to strike her in the abdomen with a series of palm strikes. "My elegance shall surpass your blind fury Hime-sama."

The Doctor dove to avoid Baretta's shots, returning fire with a burst of rounds aimed at her blasters. "You're not taking me out Baretta! I'm a better fighter than I look!"

Amaterasu saw the melee with Baretta up ahead and leaped into the air, landing on a wall and continuing to run along it. Justicar followed suit, switching to Specter's form and dual wielding his katanas. "What are you going to do?" Amatersu began to glow white. "This!"

The wolf avatar jumped off of the wall, transforming into her human form and brandishing Solar Flare and Thunder Edge. She thrust the shield face out and let out a war cry, diving right for Baretta. Justicar simply leaped off of the wall and landed a short distance away, sprinting over with his blades drawn.

Erika calmy blew away three more bots to answer Kate's question, she paused to reload her shotgun before pumping the gun's slide and opening fire again. "Nope, how 'bout you?" Mary drew her second pistol and ran into the center of the mob, blasting a doze robots to pieces in about thirty seconds. "You okay Alexi?"

Alexi nodded and dodged a construction drone's shovel, grabbing the weapon's handle with one hand and blowing a hole through the robot's head with his pistol in the other. "I'm fine. What about you ma'am?" Jäger simply made a huffinf noise and chopped a robot's head off. "I'm fine..."

Unfortunately, in the melee a cooking bot with a large cleaver used to cut through beef ribs managed to hid in the crowd, Jäger noticed too late and turned just as it brought the blade down, smashing her across the face.

[Saber]

Zeus swatted Mani4c in midair while he leapt up, clearly trying to strike him from below. This forced Mani4c to fly at terminal velocity toward one of the nearby buildings, just as Zeus hurled another chunk of building at the propelling avatar very close behind. Saber took this opportunity to shift into flash mode, sprinted over to Mani4c's eventual impact zone, and used the momentum to leap toward the debris, shift into burst mode, and reduced the slab of building to rubble. He landed next to Mani4c as he came towards the building "If you think my blasters are going to do anything against that thing, then you really are as stupid as Zeus says. And before you tell me to go fuck off again, shut up and listen." He kept Mani4c pinned with one arm to the crater that his landing no doubt caused, intent on making him listen to reason for once "If we're going to do this your way, then we might as well double the damage, and divide his attention. Let's leave the blasting to Noxus, and both of us charge in and attack from different angles. If anything, we can get at least one hit in, and start a chain of hits." He released his hold on Mani4c, but stayed in front of him just long enough to get one last point across, and getting his face inches from Mani4c's "You may love her, but she's one of my best friends....I want to kill this guy just as much as you do, and I am not going to sit on the sidelines while you do this solo. If you can't accept that, then you can go fuck off." He got out of Mani4c's way, and started walking intently toward's Zeus, deflecting another large piece of debris as it was coming their way "Now get on your feet and let's finish what you started, Mani4c..."

Baretta leapt upa nd did a spinning flip over Totenkopf's scythe as he rushed past, shooting at him from behind while aiming her gun at Sieg when he got up close, and fired another blast at his head while he was focused on trying to melee her abdomen.

As Amaterasu was flying towards Baretta, a looming shadow was falling overhead as the Tarantula virus was plummeting swiftly towards her, legs outstretched and silently attempting to ambush the unaware warrior matron from above.

KAte cursed when the holo bot managed to get past her lookout, putting a bullet between it's eyes and electrocuting it from inside. What bothered her was when she looked back at the girl who was struck in the face by a butcher's knife. That strike should have killed her, but she was still standing. Exactly what was this girl? A cyborg? "...No...It can't be..." Kate's eyes widened when a possible revelation occurred to her. If this girl was a cyborg...Then she could be the one responsible for Frank's death. HEr hands were gripping the gun tightly, the stress of holding the gun so firmly forcing it to visibly and audibly shake in her hands.

[Mani4c]

Mani4c grit his teeth and walked past Saber, shooting him a glare that was eerily similar to one that Halberd would have. "Fine, we'll do it your way this time...and if you give me an order again I'll tear your throat out." Mani4c looked at Zeus and flared his aura, shooting forward and going low, aiming for his knees and hoping to cripple the behemoth's legs. Noxus reformed his arms into his arm cannons and opened fire at the back of Zeus' head. "Let's see how this feels you piece of refuse!"

Totenkopf grunted in pain from the shots, dropping to one knee and retaliating with a swing from his scythe. Sieg was knocked back by the blast from Baretta's pistol, hitting the ground and struggling to get up due to being stunned. Lilith covered him with a barrage of gunfire, she strafed around Baretta, trying to hit her from all sides

Amaterasu whirled around when she saw the shadow and stabbed forward with her blade in an attempt to impale the Tarantula virus, Unfortunately she was still bitten through the shoulder by it's fangs, which were long enough to go through her shoulder and pin her to the ground. "Amaterasu!" The Doctor redirected his aim at the Tarantula and began to fire at it, firing over a dozen rounds into it's thorax.

Jäger growled angrily and tore the shredded portion of her synthetic flesh away from her head to keep it from getting in the way. Before she could repay the cooking bot for it's hit, Kate had blown a hole in it's skull. She looked at the NPD Captain to thank her, but noticed her reaction to what she was. 'Shit, she knows...just my luck, well, at least we've got bigger fish to fry right now.' Suddenly, all of the Bot's around them ground to a halt, they stood stock still before toppling over into unresponsive heaps. "What the hell?"

A dispatch came out over all of the Officer's terminals, broadcast across a wide band. "We've just shut down all Drone Wi-Fi connections in the city! All Precincts, security is to be controlled via Hard lines until the viral infestation in Cyber City is resolved, Repeat, all Bot's are now restricted to Hardline operation, wireless of ANY KIND is useless!"

Jäger looked at the Drones, and then at the assembled officers, those of which who were present during Frank's death were now looking at her with varying degrees of murderous intent in their eyes. Her deadpan response would have been funny were it not for the situation, "Oh fuck me..." Jäger lashed out at Alexi's chest with a cross-chop, winding him and giving her an opportunity to pull him in front of her as a shield, disarming him and aiming the pistol at the officers in front of her. "Alright, now let's play the "Shut up and listen" game. I'm going to leave, never darken your doorstep again, I could give less than a fuck about you NPD pukes anymore, I just want the Mega-Corp's DEAD, alright? But, if you shoot me, I will shoot officer Petrovik dead. You will have to bury another comrade, and I'll have another corpse on my conscious, so just let me leave, I want out of this city."

[Saber]

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, you're pissed. No need to glare like my brother." Saber kept at pace with Mani4c, keeping close to him as he flared his aura while staring at Zeus. If Mani4c was going low, then he was going to go high, leaping forward and aiming for Zeus' midsection. Sadly, he was the one to get deflected this time, Zeus' big arm swatting him away and making him crash into the highway road. Fortunately, his distraction was enough to let Mani4c get past Zeus' defenses, the collision pushing one leg out from under Zeus, and forcing him to fall forward on one knee.

Recovering from the crash, he saw that Mani4c connected and knocked Zeus off balance. He pushed out of his crater and flash sprinted back to the battle zone, shifting to breaker mode and launching a breaker wave at Zeus before leaping back up at Zeus' head while he was off balance "You know what they say, Mani4c. The bigger they are!" Shifting into burst form agains, Saber was propelling towards Zeus' head, blade glowing as he prepared to hit the giant right between the eyes.

Baretta growled when Lilith fired at her, a few shots hitting her before she brought her riot shield out again to block the oncoming bullets. She didn't waste time in dashing rapidly over to Lilith and throwing a punch with her blaster still in hand, keeping the barrel aimed at Lilith and firing a viral burst shot at her.

The tarantula used it's double jointed limbs near the front to hold Amaterasu in place, rearing its fangs back to continue biting her while scurrying away from the doctor's bullets. While it bit into Amaterasu, any time the hollow tips of its fangs punctured her, viral venom was being injected into her as she no doubt struggled to get free. While it scurried away, it rushed towards the minimally armed Sieg, aiming to ram into him and knock him off balance.

Kate gritted her teeth when Jager grabbed Alexi into a hold and had him at gunpoint. With the bots no longer a threat, Kate set the gun down on the car "......Lower your weapon, Erika...And make sure Mary and Samuel do the same......"

[Prythian]

"You... leave... my... friends... alone!" Mirror flew in at high speeds, teeth bared. The rifle was currently in its lance form, and she was holding it in front of her while moving at Skystrike's top speed. Having taken care of her unexpected passenger, she'd doubled back, and seen the tarantula on top of Amaterasu. At her speeds, while her fine control wasn't quite what it should be, she would almost definitely hit where she was aiming... and that lance had been aimed unerringly towards the giant target of its thorax.

[Mani4c]

"The harder they fall!" Mani4c leaped up into the air and primed a viral grenade, whipping it at Zeus' back and opening fire at the viral avatar with a barrage of explosive rounds for good measure. Noxus shifted his arms into heavier cannons, they fired slower, but they hit far harder than his light machine guns did. "Allow me to assist you with that brother!"

Lilith knocked the pistol away from her head narrowly avoiding a blast to the head from Baretta, she dispelled her pistols and drew her rapier, she also formed a shield of her own to defend against any more blaster fire. She lunged forward, aiming for Barreta's gun arm with her blade. Justicar joined in as well, twirling his blades expertly and attacking Baretta from behind with his katanas. "Mind if I cut in?" Sieg leaped onto the Tarantula's head and started jabbing at it's eyes, hoping to blind it. "Are you alright Amaterasu-sama!?" Amaterasu hissed in pain, "It's pumping me full of poison, it burns like hellfire but I'll live for now!"  

Erika nodded and lowered her shotgun, not taking her finger off of the gun's trigger, Samuel and Mary followed suit. Jäger nodded and released Alexi. "Go, head back to your friends."

Alexi walked forward two steps and froze, he looked back at Jäger and smiled. "Oh, before you go, I forgot one thing." He then pressed a button on his terminal, causing his pistol to explode violently into shards of metal and plastic. "ARGH!" Jäger dropped to one knee, her arm still functioned, but the flesh on it was in bloody tatters. "You're under arrest for the murder of my friend, officer Frank Jameson." Jäger looked at Alexi, and then Kate, she roared in a rage and charged the Russian officer. Smashing him in the ribs with a shoulder tackle before getting to her feet and sprinting at Kate with the intent of tearing her head off. 

 

[Saber]

As Zeus was being knocked forward from the impact of the grenade, Saber sent him upright again with an explosive strike with his burst sword, just in time for a couple of rounds from Noxus' cannons. The added momentum forced him tumbling backward until he was on his back with a crash. The impact made the ground shudder for several blocks, which Saber had to struggle with while landing "And in his case, he landed like a fucking train wreck, watch your footing!"

Baretta used the blaster to deflect the rapier attack, thrusting forward with her riot shield before aiming at Lilith's feet in an attempt to use splash damage to harm Lilith.

The tarantula wasn't able to see the dive attack coming, and was easily impaled by Mirror's surprise assault. This in turn forced Amaterasu crashing down to the ground with the giant virus on top of her with its crushing weight. In response to the threat on top of its body, the virus used its hind legs to thrust crossbow bolt-like strands at Mirror from point blank range, while trying to get on its feet again to start running for the buildings to climb away with its current prey.

The moment Alexi set off the explosives in his guns, Kate cursed and hurried to the weapons crate, hoping to god that Mary didn't just use it to tote ammo. "Dammit Petrovik! Come on....Yes!" She saw Jager sprinting at her, tossing something in Jager's path. Kate counted to three before closing her eyes, just as a bright flash and a loud boom echoed from the grenade that was thrown in Jager's way. If she was able to hear anything, she would probably hear the booming sound of a shotgun firing slugs at her. Kate was toting the semi-automatic shotgun from their last encounter, with the ammo drum attached and feeding its 20 rounds through the barrel of the gun. Kate wasn't taking any chances with this one, she was going to do as much damage as she could, and was going to keep putting the pressure on her until she collapsed, which was unlikely, or ran away.

[Prythian]

As Mirror struggled to get back to recover from her own attack, some of the strands hit her right in the back, sending her flat on her face. While laying there, she changed, flashing from SkyStrike to Panzer. Roaring, she spun around as she got up, holding the blasters in front of her as a riot shield, the bolts striking them without much penetration. As she landed, once again on the abdomen, she delivered two fully-charged cannon blasts as close-range, each blaster having been pressed to the exoskeleton at the moment of her landing and her firing. Blasted back into the air without a stable position, Mirror merely hoped she'd done enough damage, and hit hard enough, to make the tarantula flip.

It landing on top of her was preferable to it continuing to have Amaterasu.

[Mani4c]

Kivat streaked through the air, narrowly avoiding being crushed by falling debris shaken loos by Zeus' fall. "Mani4c-sama!" Mani4c's eyes widened behind his helmet's visor, he wasn't expecting Kivat to show up. "Kivat, what're you doing here?" "Lilith-sama told me to help you out, she and several others are taking care of Baretta, but considering how powerful this guy seems to be, she figured that you'd need help." Mani4c nodded and grabbed Kivat, "Alright, this won't screw up your programming?" The bat program chuckled, "Lilith could use me remember?"

Mani4c shrugged and deactivated his armor, his appearance was more or less the same, but small cracks could be seen in his face due to viral corruption. He pressed the activation switch on Kivat's head and pressed the program's fangs into his hand, causing the same stained-glass coloration that Lilith had when she transformed to appear on his hand and face. "Gabu!" The Kiva belt appeared around Mani4c's waist and the viral avatar smirked, "I've always wanted to say this, HENSHIN!" Mani4c placed Kivat on the belt and the Kiva armor formed around Mani4c's body like liquid mercury before the metallic covering shattered to reveal the armor itself. Mani4c cracked his neck and summoned the Zanvat saber, "Hmm, not really familiar with swords...but fuck it, I'll adapt." Mani4c twirled the blade experimentally and walked up to Saber, Noxus following behind him. "You think he's dead?"

Lilith blocked the hit with her own shield and flapped her wings to try and dodge the shot, the shockwave knocked her down, but she quickly recovered and got to her feet, ready to retaliate. Justicar lashed out at the back of Baretta's head with his blades, landing a blow that resonated with a solid *CRACK*. "Take a load off captain, I'm getting tired of this..." Justicar got into a ready stance, daring Baretta to retaliate.

Jäger covered her eyes when Kate threw the flashbang at her, but while she managed to spare her eyes, her ears weren't so lucky. "ARGH!" Jäger clutched her ears and tried to steady herself, but the blast had made her inner ear go haywire, her equilibrium was ruined for the moment. Then she felt the familiar sensation of 00-gauge tungsten slugs ripping through her CNT muscle fibers, she didn't feel pain as sharply as a normal human. But the sensation of having pieces of her right shoulder and part of her left hamstring scooped out by white hot anti-synth rounds was impossible to ignore. "Gah! You fucking bitch! At least Jameson had the balls to get in my face when he blew me up! But you PIGS just hide and pick me off, you're no better than those fucking merc's that I butchered in the slums!" Jäger forced herself up and charged Kate again, ducking and weaving in an attempt to make her a harder target.

[Saber]

Saber watched as Zeus was slowly getting back up, clicking his teeth irritably "It's never that easy...I'll get its attention like last time, wait for an opening." Saber leap up onto the rooftop next to Zeus' head, shifting back to his breaker blade and easing the sword back for an overhead swing. "OVER HERE YOU GIANT BASTARD!!" As Zeus turned his head to look at Saber, a large wave of data came flying at his face, making him roar in face and aim a slow, but devastating punch at the rooftop. Saber leapt up just as Zeus' giant fist passed beneath him, running along the arm to reach his head. This time, he had his flash blade out, and he started slashing wildly at Zeus' face. Zeus responded by roaring and bringing both hands up to try and grab Saber. If there was any better opportunity to strike, now would be it.

The tarantula took the blasts without much retaliation. With its hind legs no longer supporting its body, the virus was forced to lean upright momentarily from the force of the blast, its legs flailing wildly to try and keep upright, and the claws at the ends coming close to hitting the bound Amaterasu if she wasn't able to deflect them.

Baretta turned and hissed at Justicar as he braced for an attack, but viral gunfire was coming at him from behind before she could even retaliate. The source of the gunfire was a lone, robotic commando looking avatar with glowing green eyes and cracks along its face and upper body, similar to Baretta's. The new viral avatar was aiming its gun at Justicar, his fist glowing with a green tinted viral heat.

'Yeah, keep telling yourself that. I'm not the one who goes straight to killing mercilessly, you bitch...' Kate thought to herself, not even dignifying Jager's insults with a response as she continued to fire at the furious cyborg. As Jager was focused on sprinting towards Kate, magnum rounds were flying at her kneecaps from the left side, someone hiding and shooting at her from a secluded spot.

[Prythian]

As the tarantula reared up, someone else sprang into action. Having failed to find any more targets beside the tarantula, Amplify had flown back just in time to see what was going on. Is that... someone under it?! With hardly any hesitation, she swooped down on Shattered Skies, hands all beneath her as she flew underneath the flailing legs, all six of her hands grabbing the bound Amaterasu and snatching her up. One blow, and then another, landed on Amplify's back, and as she cried out, the tip of Shattered Skies tilted downwards, striking the ground and sending her into a flip.

She quickly let Shattered Skies vanish, not wanting the naginata to be flipping around dangerously, and shifted Amaterasu above her as best she could, rolling on the ground while the hands remained skywards of Amplify's body. She eventually stopped her roll, facedown, the hands still having kept Amaterasu up... but she didn't seem to be able to move much at all.

Mirror, meanwhile, struggled to find and keep her balance on the back of the unbalanced virus.

[Mani4c]

Mani4c grabbed a small whistle like object from off of his belt and slotted it into Kivat's mouth, It produced a bright glow and a shrill whistling note that echoed for blocks. "Garulu Saber!" The howl of a wolf echoed throughout the area as a folded blue blade appeared in front of Mani4c. "Time for an upgrade!"

Mani4c grabbed the blade, causing it to unfold into a short sword with a wave-like blade, spectral chained wrapped around Mani4c's left arm and torso, bursting into shards and revealing Sapphire colored armor plates that replaced the silver and black metal of the Kiva armor. The lenses of the armor changed to match the blue color of the armor, as well as Kivat's eyes. Mani4c sucked in a breath and let out a bone chilling howl that shattered windows in the buildings around them. "Garulu form..." Mani4c leaped up into the air, his new form allowing him to reach Zeus' chest with little effort, he then spun in mid air with his blades, turning into a flying razor aimed right at Zeus' heart. Noxus continued to fire at Zeus with his heavy cannons, aiming for his knees in an attempt to hinder his movement. "Such a drama king brother...but it's impressive nonetheless."

Amaterasu tried to move, but her muscles were on fire from the venom, as well as being nearly crushed by the Tarantula. "Ah, Amp...thank you, now draw your blade and help your sister, I'll be fine...I just need a moment." It was a bold-faced lie and Amaterasu knew it, she was practically crippled at this point, but she didn't want to worry Amp.

Totenkopf leaped in front of Justicar and blocked the shots with a glyph shield, he glanced at the samurai avatar and nodded. "Beat some sense into her would you? I've got the big one." Totenkopf dispelled the barrier and charged forward at the commando avatar. "Let's dance you oversized tin-soldier!" Justicar looked back at Baretta and chuckled, baiting her into attacking. "Let's continue shall we? Or is the little girl with the big guns tired?"

The Doctor ran up to Amaterasu, taking pot shots at the tarantula as he did, he knelt at the matriarch's feet and summoned his sonic screwdriver. "One moment Amaterasu, let me get a sample of this shite and see if I can't whip up an antidote." He began to scan the woman, but the process was more than a little taxing in a live fire zone.

Jäger felt the bullets tear into her legs, she screamed in agony and tumbled at Kate's feet, she looked over and saw Mary with both her magnums drawn, smoke curling from the barrels. "No...NO! I will NOT die here!" Jäger somehow managed to haul herself up, grabbing the barrel of Kate's shotgun and bending it down, her vision was going blurry from blood loss and her legs were barely able to function.
 She grabbed the Captain by the collar of her jacket and slammed her against the trunk of the car. "I'm not letting you kill me, not until those fuckers who did this to me pay with their lives! You are NOT taking the only thing keeping me going, I REFUSE TO LET YOU!"

Erika raised her shotgun at Jäger's head, but the enraged cyborg simply yanked the gun's barrel to bring her within arm's reach, she grabbed Erika by the throat and slammed her next to Kate, slowly applying pressure to the Asian officer's windpipe. "You should have let me fucking walk..." Jäger was about to snap Erika's neck when she felt the barrel of a gun press against the base of her spine. "Yeah, but I've learned that these Yanks are more than a little dense when it comes to heroics..."
Samuel released the safety on his pistol. "Now if your body mimics the human anatomy, at least in terms of skeletal structure...this gap here is just wide enough for part of a .45 slug to slide on through and turn your brains into a rough approximation of old haggis. Now give up...I've got enough corpses to my name without adding a traumatized girl who was tortured to it."
 

[Saber]

Saber kept slashing idly as Mani4c made his move, and scoffed when the viral avatar started announcing his presence as he changed armors 'Does he have to announce himself like that? He's lucky I'm keeping this guy distracted or all of that howling would have made his surprise attack useless.' When Mani4c crashed into Zeus' chest and started drilling into the giant's chest to reach his core, Saber switched to burst sword and swung as hard as he could with the blade, forcing Zeus to once again lose balance as the cannons connected to his kneecaps and crippled his legs from below. Unfortunately, this was forcing Zeus to fall forward, and Saber was already leaping onto one of Zeus' horns to brace for impact.

Baretta shifted her gaze back and forth between Lilith and Justicar, baring her fangs furiously as she had her shield facing Justicar, and her gun held firmly and ready for attack on Lilith. infected or not, there were still some traces of Baretta's strategic methods when outnumbered.

The avatar jogged toward Totenkopf as he charged back at him, firing rapidly from his gun with large viral bullets while he had his arm reared back as if to throw a punch.

The tarantula started tumbling backwards now that it didn't have Amaterasu as a counterweight, losing balance and falling on its back now with Mirror making its balancing issue worse.

Kate watched Jager as she was crippled by Mary, listening to her rant about refusing to die. The moment she aw movement, she pulled the trigger on the shotgun, only to hear the click of an empty barrel as Jager bent the barrel and made it useless. She was slammed into the car by Jager, and heard a brief monologue about why Jager was being hostile and resisting before Erika was forced beside her. She was relieved when Samuel had his gun in place for a kill shot on the cyborg's spine. It was time to set a few records straight.

"Let get one thing straight, I had no intention of killing you. In fact, if my subordinate hadn't pulled that stunt, I was going to let you go. Me shooting you was self preservation, from seeing a threat to my life being provoked, nothing more. She made sure to make eye contact as she continued I've seen the data regarding your...reconstruction, and I understand that you're not the one fully responsible for officer Jameson's death, or any others who were killed during your time under their control. As such, I am still willing to let you go. But what then? Kill the people responsible and they'll only be replaced with someone new, possibly worse."

[Prythian]

As the tarantula crashed down, Mirror was pinned beneath the massive virus, only her head sticking out. Her concentration broken, she flickered back into her own form, wincing. Amplify laughed under his breath. "Would... that I could... I'm having trouble getting up right now." Mirror inhaled deeply. "...Amplify! Show me... your strength boosting power! Lend me... strength!" And with that, she changed again, this time into Amplify. Her hair began to glow as orbs formed around her. Amplify, forming more orbs as well, sent two of them towards Mirror, them soaking into her body. "Now... show me... if you can use it... on yourself!" Mirror said, as all six of her hands began pushing upwards from where they were trapped under the virus. Amplify nodded, and sent the other two orbs into one of her hands, the energy channeling back into her. "Is that enough?!"

"Yes... that's exactly what I need." Two of Mirror's orbs flew underneath the virus to contact one of her hands. And now, Mirror began to push with all the might she could muster.

((Mirror is currently having her strength quadrupled thanks to two strength doubling programs.))

[Mani4c]

Mani4c landed on Zeus' head and grabbed on to his horns, looping one of his arms around it so he wouldn't topple off. "Eat this you Shadow of the Colossus reject!" Mani4c slashed at Zeus' eyes with the Garulu Saber, hoping that the serrated blade would keep the gargantuan virus injured for a while. Noxus ran forward and activated his SpearLegs program, stabbing at Zeus' stomach with the bladed appendages. "Keep hammering him! We need to take him down!"

Totenkopf dodged the blasts leveled at him and retaliated with a flurry of fireballs, when he got within 5 feet of the avatar he threw his hand up in the air and slammed it into the pavement, causing a wave or pitch black chains made of energy to burst from the ground and surge outwards in a cone, filling the street in front of the avatar. "Burn in hell!" 

Lilith released the lock on her sword and swung it at Baretta's pistol, hoping to snare the weapon with her whip. Meanwhile, Justicar sprinted forward and swung one of his blades at Baretta's legs while the other one was aimed for her chest. "Let's see you block both of these!"

The Doctor had managed to isolate the posion from Amaterasu and had begun treating her wounds, "Alright, this anti-venom program should flush out your systems. Just give it a bit." Amaterasu nodded. "Thank you doctor." The Doctor simply shrugged. "It's my job, no thanks are needed."

Murakumo had been surveying the whole scene as she scanned the area for any civilians, satisfied that there were no trapped avtars nearby, she activated her cannons and aimed at the tarantula. "Target locked...firing!" Murakumo's cannons glowed bright red and unleashed a carefully aimed barrage at the Tarantula Virus' head. Hoping to decapitate it.

Jäger listened to Kate when she told her that she had intended to let Jäger leave, and part of her wanted to believe the police captain, but she wasn't about to simply let her guard down. "You're under the impression that I'd leave anyone alive to succeed them. I'm not just taking out the head of the serpent Captain, I'm obliterating the whole damn thing." Samuel cocked an eyebrow. "On your own? That's suicide." Jäger scoffed. "I planned on that eventually, there's no way I'm ever atoning for what I've done, so I'll give the world what it wants, a corpse. I deserve it anyways..."

Erika's previously angry expression softened, Jäger's suicidal attitude reminded her of herself not too long ago. Admittedly they're reasons were different, but the feeling that they had to punish themselves for something outside of their control was incredibly similar. "You...ah, shouldn't do that..." Erika was having trouble speaking through Jäger's grip, making the cyborg loosen her fingers. "Even if you think that you deserve to die, you shouldn't do it...I'd know, trust me."

[Saber]

Saber saw Mani4c swinging wildly at Zeus' face while the giant was falling, and saw they were closing in on the ground. He acted quickly and yanked Mani4c up to behind Zeus' head just as the head crashed into the road "Looks like this guy's just about had it..." He shifted his flash blade and went back to breaker form before stabbing it into Zeus' neck and gripping the handle firmly "Race you to the bottom?" He dug the blade deeper, pushing further down Zeus' spine.

Baretta shifted her arm just as Lilith swung her blade whip at her gun, instead snaring her wrist. She yanked her arm away from Lilith, aiming to throw her off balance before leveling her gun at Lilith and firing.

The avatar punched the ground as the chains came at him in a cone, boulders shooting up and knocking the chains out of the way, before launching a grenade at Totenkopf, crackling with viral data that would pack more of a punch than the average explosive.

The tarantula let out a shrill cry as the bullets came flying at it, doing plenty of damage before the virus was upright again and crawling away from the battle zone. It was clearly outnumbered and was going to go recuperate by feeding elsewhere.

Kate sighed and shook her head when Jager said she planned on killing everyone in the megacorporations, and then herself, this girl really was troubled "You're a fool to think that killing yourself will solve anything. And you're even more foolish to think that plan would actually work or is even a good idea. Killing will only beget more killing, and what you'e talking about is billions of people all across the globe. You'll be dead the moment you set foot in the second building."

[Prythian]

As more orbs appeared around them, two of Amplify's and Mirror's orbs vanished, flowing once more into Mirror. Using her strength, she pushed herself up now that the spider was no longer on top of her. "Alright, sis, got any tricks up your sleeve for dealing with this thing? Any programs that go along with this?" Shattered Skies appeared in Mirror's hands. Amplify, slowly standing up, nodded. "Just... do what I do!" One of her orbs vanished into her own Shattered Skies, and aiming, Amplify launched a large burst of five powerful kinetic blasts at the tarantula. As she did so, one of her orbs flew in front of them, and each one seemed to become more solid.

Mirror nodded, one of her own orbs flying into Shattered Skies, and another floating in front of the tip of the cannon as she fired. Once more, the burst of five kinetic blasts grew in power, firing towards the virus from a different angle as Amplify's shots.

((Mirror: Quadrupled strength/damage + Intensify on Kinetic Barrage = 8x Kinetic Barrage, or 40x damage of her normal cannon shot. Amplify: Intensify on Kinetic Barrage, so 2x Kinetic Barrage, or 10x normal cannon shot.))

[Mani4c]

Mani4c didn't reply to Saber's question, he simply jammed his own blade into Zeus' neck and slid down as well, Noxus noticed the titanic virus' body begin to fall and retracted his SpearLegs, he then activated his grasping tendrils and grabbed on to the overpass' support beams, yanking himself backwards to avoid being crushed. "If I may quote something Byte once said. Well...that was a thing."

Lilith shifted her wings into bladed appendages that she proceeded to slam into the ground, anchoring her to the pavement and keeping her balanced. She then used her strength to haul on Baretta's arm as Justicar batted her shield aside and slashed at Baretta's snared wrist. 

The Doctor's anti-venom had managed to flush the viral code out of Amaterasu, the motherly Avatar got to her feet and summoned Thunder Edge and the Tundra beads. "Doctor, help Totenkopf please, I've got Baretta." The Doctor nodded and ran at the commando avatar, pulling out another card from his belt, he slotted the card into the DienDriver's reader and activated it. <ATTACK RIDE: BLAST!> The Doctor leveled his gun at the commando and pulled the trigger, creating a swarm of 10 explosive shots that homed in on the large avatar.

Amaterasu lashed out at Baretta's shield arm with the Tundra beads, hoping to keep her immobilized until they could remove the viral code from her body. "Let's see you fight when you've lost use of your arms!"

Totenkopf narrowly dodged the Grenade and leaped into the air, spinning his scythe to gain momentum for his strike as he swung out at the commando avatar's neck.

Murakumo saw the Tarantula try to escape and flew at it, her cannons arrayed in a V-shaped pattern as she opened fire at the creature's face. "Commencing with strafing run, opening fire." 

Jäger scoffed and released Erika and Kate, "That's funny considering you're Russian fuck-buddy just tried to blow my hand off." The anger in her voice as she glared at the now winded Alexi was palpable. "I should snap his spine like a pretzel stick...but that'd piss you off so he get's to live to be a dumb-ass for another day, maybe next time he'll use his goddamn head for something besides a hat rack."

Jäger turned and began to walk off, stopping only to pick up her Machete. "I'll turn myself in for an examination once this is over. Maybe that way the next time you go up against a cyborg like me...and there will be others you know, maybe next time one of you won't have to be an idiot and blow themselves up." Despite the harsh words that Jäger used to describe Frank's death, her expression made it clear that she saw it more as a waste than as an actual stupid move. "Stupid bastard, he could have just pressed that little nozzle to my temple and pulled the trigger on that torch, would have burned through the CNT material in less than a second and my brain...well, it'd be charcoal. What a fucking waste..."

[Saber]

Saber smirked and followed Mani4c down the length of Zeus' spine, leaping off as he neared the end. When he landed, he turned and aimed his sword at Zeus before swinging it and sending a breaker wave at the giant's crotch, just to add insult to injury. "He certainly takes a beating like this, doesn't he?"

Baretta took several steps away from the group as both of her arms were sliced clean off, gritting and baring her fangs as she stared and the sliced nubs. Rearing her head back, she let out a blood curdling scream as something erupted from the point of dismemberment. Large, knife-like claws replaced her lost hands, the claws surrounded by a black mass that slowly began to creep up her arms until they wrapped around her shoulders. She looked at the claws momentarily, before her gaze turned back to her oppressors, flexing her claws and letting out a bloodthirsty scream as she rushed the ones who had injured her, swinging her new weapons wildly.

The avatar looked over at the oncoming explosives and a swarm of flares started erupting from his body and his gun, flying outward and connecting with the explosives, causing explosions between the avatar and the others. Using the explosion cloud as cover, a few blaster rounds came shooting through the dust, towards the doctor, as he stopped the scythe attack with his rifle, the sidearm firing blasts.

The tarantula was scurrying, trying desperately to avoid the blaster shots, but it was going against a flying threat, something it wasn't built for, and it was quickly gaining the upper hand.

Kate scowled at Jager as she walked off, ranting about how she wanted to inflict harm on Alexi, and then went on about Frank. Her fists clenched firmly as Jager slowly disappeared from view, fighting the urge to cry out in rage, and the only thing she could manage was aiming her clenched fist at the window of the car right next to her, breaking one of the windows and leaving her arm cut and bloodied. Her entire body shook in anger, she wanted to kill Jager, make her pay for her words, and her actions, but she knew any attempts at that would mean her death, and that would be a meaningless death, acting vengeful in such a way. 'I hope those megacorporation bastards give her what's coming to her...I don't care anymore...'
