Justicar's eyes lost their usually sharp glint, "I.. I apologize for getting harsh like that. It's just a sore subject for me, I can't tell you how many times people act as though I'm an idiot simply because I'm designed for fighting. I know you haven't done that, and I apologize for being so defensive towards you."

Justicar inhaled through his nose, contemplating his response to Amp's question, "I honestly don't know, perhaps I could have ended things right then and there, but I didn't think that I would need to use all of my strength. I was young, and very cocky, I treated my opponent as a lumbering sword sharpener because of it's size. Looking back, I suppose that I should have just tore the thing in half and ended the battle before it began, but I didn't. I did learn an important lesson that day however, I learned the importance of being decisive on the battlefield." Justicar looked at Amp, a slight smirk on his face, "And you have taught me that great amounts of power don't need a large frame to contain them. Your powers are extremely potent, if you learned how to harness them, you'd be a force to be reckoned with. I'm going to be completely honest with you, I don't want you with us because of Noxus' ambitions, I want to help you reach your full potential. And not in an evolutionary sense, I want to help you learn how to use your abilities to their fullest, perhaps by working together we can do that. After all, you know the breadth of your powers far more than I do."   

[Prythian]

A satisfied grin spread across Amplify's face, and for just the briefest of moments, a hint of pink shone of her cheeks. "Well, if we're going back to talking about me... I think I can forgive you, Wolf." She patted one of her hands onto the complex braids that her hair was kept up in. "Well, what I do know is that there is energy in every single network, all around us. Free floating... almost never used by anyone." She made a tsking noise. "When I let my hair down, I gather that energy... and create those orbs you saw. By controlling the energy within the orbs, I can either pour it into a program in progress... or, as you already have experienced, give another avatar's processes access to that energy." A shadow crossed her face. "There is a limit. I can only control so much at one time. And I... instinctively have known better than to try supplying that energy to myself."

Justicar noticed her expression change when she mentioned giving herself that energy, "If you don't mind talking about it, what would happen if you did? If it's uncomfortable you don't have to tell me." He awkwardly put a hand on Amp's shoulder, he wasn't used to showing concern for other people, but if one of his allies needed help he'd make the attempt. "I'm... not used to showing concern for a teammate, I'm used to being alone, but if you need to get something off your chest I'll be your sounding board Amp." Justicar winced internally, 'By the creator! I sound so...so... Hokey! I REALLY need to learn how to communicate with other people besides trying to lop their heads off.'

[Prythian]

Amplify hesitated. "I'm not sure. There are... parts of my data, about how my ability works, that I don't understand. That's why I wanted an in-depth scan. If I knew more about how the energy worked, then I might be able to tell you what the results would be. I just know that every time I have tried..." ...I was too frightened to move. "...I couldn't go through with it. Everything screamed at me that it was a bad idea. I can gather the energy, but trying to channel it into me is something I could never go through with."

Justicar nodded, "The amount of data that makes up even a small network is immense, it makes beings even as complicated as an avatar seem minuscule in comparison. The amount of energy needed to sustain such a colossal amount of data is equally huge, if you tried to absorb it, it could overwhelm and consume you. Even those orbs you used on me, when I first felt their power I was concerned that the sheer amount of energy would tear me apart. I'll make sure that you get that scan as soon as we get back, I don't want this to weigh on you anymore, it obviously makes you nervous."

He gave Amp's shoulders a small squeeze, "I won't let anything happen to you, you're my comrade, that incident with Baretta will not happen again. If they try I'll make them regret it for the rest of their existence." His eyes burned with a small amount of anger, though it wasn't directed at Amp. "Let's hurry, the weapon's smith is just another block from here."

[Prythian]

A hint of pink touched Amplify's cheeks again, but she rapidly suppressed it. "Right. That's not that much farther at all." She said brusquely, covering up her reaction. "You need to get that sword of yours fixed, and I need to see if there's anything they have that will let me not be completely defenseless in a fight. Which reminds me that I'll need to get get that armor back at base modified to my specifications... which will also have to wait until a scan is done." She sighed. "So much BORING stuff that needs to get done..."

[Mani4c]

Justicar noticed the blush but ignored it, "Heh, I can't blame you, why do you think I hate listening to the Doc's orders? "Stay still for 2 hours so we can scan you!" to hell with that." Justicar walked up to a small shop and opened the door, The inside of the shop was well lit, with cases holding dozens of Blasters, rifles and swords lining the walls, an avatar wearing traditional Samurai Armor and a mask((Here's what he looks like)) sat at the counter sharpening a sword, he looked up and spoke in a voice who's cheerful demeanor clashed wildly with his intimidating look. "Ah, Justicar! Good to see you!" He then looked at Amp, "And with a lady friend too! A pretty one at that! You're not going steady are you my boy?" Justicar made a choking sound, "Wha- No! She's just a new ally of mine!" The old avatar laughed, "Such a shame, you and her would make a cute couple." Justicar growled slightly, "I just need my sword fixed, and we MIGHT return later when my friend has been scanned so she can get a weapon to defend herself." The old man laughed again, "You need to learn when I'm just pushing you buttons my boy, if you were human you'd have had a stroke by now." Justicar just palmed his face before stepping to the side, holding the door for Amp, "Ladies first."

[Prythian]

Amplify walked in carelessly, almost gracefully. "That's more of a reaction than I quite managed to get out of him. I suppose you have the advantage, knowing more of which buttons to push than I do." She said in an amused tone to the old man. "Admittedly, when it came to the battle of wits he and I had... well, let's just say that though he is armed in that regard, it wasn't quite as well as I was. You'll have to share some of those buttons with me." She waggled her eyebrows conspiratorially at the weapons maker, sending a grin his way. "You can call me Amp."

[Mani4c]

The weapons maker chuckled at Amp, Justicar's newest companion was already interesting, "Nice to meet you Amp, my name's Masamune, it's a pleasure to meet you." Justicar walked over and placed his sword on the counter, "I need this repaired, hopefully within about a week." Masamune looked at the sword and nearly fell out of his chair, "Christ boy! What the heck have you been using this thing for, Chopping down trees!?" Justicar gripped the counter, his knuckles going white, "No, I went up against something that was more dense than my sword, and this is the end result." He lifted his shirt and revealed the multitude of bandages hidden underneath. "So if your finished busting my chops, I'd like to know how much this is going to cost." Masamune looked closely at the sword, "Normally I'd charge out the rear end for this, but seeing as you're lady friend might become a regular customer, I'll just bundle this with any weapons she purchases when you get back from her scans." Masamune looked at Amp and leaned on the counter, "So my dear, seeing as I'm going to make your weapons custom models, what type of loadout do you want? Dual pistols, dual swords, one of each, or just a single blade or gun? Just tell me what you want and I'll get them ready when I get your scan results. After all, if you're going to have a weapon, it might as well resonate with you as much as possible. And don't worry, I won't go spreading around your scan data, I know that everyone's got their secrets." 

[Prythian]

Amplify got a thoughtful look on her face as she thought through her options. "I think I might have an idea... but it's a bit different from anything else I currently see in your shop. Provided that it's okay with you... what do you think about both in one?" She began pacing as she waved her hands around. "I'm thinking a polearm of some sorts... similar to a glaive? The pole itself would be a powerful but slow blaster... a cannon, if that's possible? While the blade would be on the side, giving me a slashing edge and protruding just far enough to be able to allow me to stab with it. I suppose a modified glaive, then, with the blade being on the side rather than the exact top..." She stopped, and looked at Masamune. "And of course, you'd have to take into account my strength and... unique capabilities when I come back with my scans. It might be a bit of a challenge. Think you're up to it?"

[Mani4c]

Masamune smiled under his mask, "I've got just the thing." Masamune reached under the cabinet and pulled out a long case, he opened it and spun it around to show Amp and Justicar. Inside was a long Naginata, the shaft was about 4 feet long, with a 2 foot long shimmering blade on top. But instead of the usual Katana shaped blade, this Naginata's blade looked more like a Machete, albeit up-sized to fit the spear. "This was my old pole-arm, I used this when my sword wouldn't cut it pardon the pun. I've been waiting 15 years for someone to give me a request worthy of converting this baby, and miss, you're the one. This baby has served me well, my warrior's spirit still burns in this as bright as the day I put it in that case." Masamune put his hand over Amp's, bowing his head slightly, "I'd be honored if you would accept this as the base for your weapon Amp, I'll convert it to your specifications, but please let me give this to you."

Justicar was floored, he'd only seen Masamune's Naginata once in his entire life, and Masamune was giving it to Amp. "I'd accept it Amp, if he's trusting you with this weapon... He sees that you have potential that even you might not realize."     

[Prythian]

Amplify's emotions began whirling again. Awe... gratitude... satisfaction... wonder. She grabbed onto the gratitude part of that, and it began to surge as she was used to, rapidly overcoming the other emotions. She took her hand back from Masamune, took a step back, put her hands together... and then bowed deeply. "I would be honored to accept your weapon as the base for mine. It is a pleasure to think about how much experience my blade will have when I am using it." As she came back out of the bow, she turned to Justicar, eyes twinkling. "Let's not keep him waiting. We need to go get those scans as soon as possible."

Masamune nodded, "Thank you Amp, I will put my soul into this project, you have my word." Masamune looked at Justicar, "I'll have your weapon repaired, free of charge, as well as the upgrades to my old blade." Justicar nodded, he then put his fist into his open palm and bowed, "Thank you Sensei, I'm in your debt..." the old sword fighter just waved his hand, "Nonsense, you and your friend are welcome here any time." Justicar nodded and walked over to Amp, "Let's go, the sooner we get you scanned the sooner we can get you equipped."

Justicar held the door for Amp, and the two walked back to The Library, "I'm going to be sitting in on the scan, I want you to have a friendly face nearby in case it becomes stressful for you." He gave Amp a pat on the back, "I apologize if I sound like a flatterer, but You're even more special than I realized. Sensei wouldn't have given you that blade if you weren't, Integrate was a fool to write you off so quickly." He looked at Amp with genuine admiration, "I'm glad that you came along, you crave intriguing things, yet so far you've been the most interesting thing in this dump."  

[Prythian]

Amplify grinned, this time somehow managing to avoid the blush. Well, that was probably because she was focusing on a different emotion fairly strongly. "Well, good to know someone appreciates me." She tossed her head back, nose in the air, and then back down and grinned at him again, this time making it obvious her stuck-up attitude just then was an act. "Now. If we're going to be doing this scan soon..." She closed her eyes, and then her clothes once more transformed into thin plates of armor all over her body, her hair falling down her back out of its braids. "I can only gather the energy when I'm like this, so I need to be changed." Amplify explained, her hair floating slightly off the ground. The now-familiar orbs coalesced out of the air next to her shoulders.

Justicar nodded, "got it, we're almost back, I'll alert the Science lab so they can warm up the equipment, I have a feeling that neither of us wants to be there any longer than we have to." As the duo arrived in the atrium the same technician from before was waiting for them. "Ah Justicar, it's good to see you. I trust that your trip to Mr. Masamune went well?" Justicar nodded, "Indeed it did, is the scanner ready?" The technician nodded, "We ran a test scan to make sure it's still accurate, all we need now is Ms. Amp and the procedure can begin."

Justicar nodded and looked at Amp, "Well, here we go." The three avatars walked to the elevator and descended to the Science Labs. The group headed to a sealed room in A-Ring, the room contained large egg-shaped pod, the inside had a surprisingly comfortable looking chair built into it, and the upper casing and presumably the casing underneath the chair was studded with thousands of small scanning nodes. The technician looked at Amp and smiled warmly, "Don't be nervous, we try to make the process as smooth as possible, and I have a feeling that Justicar's going to be standing right out side the scanning room. If something were to happen, we'd get you out in under 30 seconds." The technician led Amp into the room and settled her into the pod, "Okay, this will take about 3 minutes, so just lean back and close your eyes and it'll be over before you know it." With that, the pod sealed shut and the scanning process began.

[Prythian]

There was no real problems with the scanning, but by the time it finished, Amplify had already amassed her maximum of 10 orbs floating around her by the time she stood back up out of the pod. She strode over to the display to take a look at the scan results herself, returning to her normal state. This time her braids seemed to be almost geometrical patterns within her hair. The orbs actually vanished the moment she exited her 'battle form', as she thought of it.

The scan results were for the most part normal, standard avatar stuff... except there were three or four really noticeable differences. Firstly, there were colored lines on the image of herself, showing the way the energy flowed. It flowed up her hair, and then once it reached her body, down through the second noticeable thing; a part of her that the scan had not managed to fully analyze. It had analyzed its purpose, though; the energy flowing out of that section of code was far larger than the energy she had gathered via her hair. It then poured out of her via her hands, which had a section of code that bound the energy into controllable orbs. The whole process was completely automatic, something that she couldn't stop.

The third, and final, notable part of her scan was that the section that increased the power of the energy was at least partially embedded in the part of her code that governed her personality.

The technician in charge of Amp's scan was floored, "This is incredible! energy manipulation the likes of which we've never seen before!" Justicar stared at the portion of the scan that highlighted her personality programming, He thought back to what amplify said about whenever she attempted to utilize her own collected energy, "I just know that every time I have tried..." ...I was too frightened to move. "...I couldn't go through with it. Everything screamed at me that it was a bad idea.
 Justicar looked up, "I know why you can't utilize your own energy!" He walked over to the console and typed in a command that focused the monitors on Amp's personality programming. "the part of your code that enhances the power of the energy you collect is partially routed through your personality programming."

The technician practically jumped out of his chair in excitement, "Of course! when the energy reaches the portion embedded in your personality data, it triggers an automatic response! This could be a defense mechanism, something that keeps you from harming yourself by channeling that much raw power through you. This is only a theory however, unfortunately we've never encountered an avatar with abilities like yours, we can't confirm it for sure."

Justicar walked over to Amp, "Can you make any better sense of this? It's your data, perhaps we missed something."

[Prythian]

"..." Amplify looked at the scan data, thinking over what they'd said. "I think... you're correct." She swept her hands over the not-quite-analyzed portion of data. "I wasn't aware that this part exists. I thought I was gathering all of the energy needed to make the orbs. Instead, there's an enhancing part of my system. I think..." She pressed her lips together. "...I think putting the energy back into me might risk overloading this part. It could be possible, but I bet it'd have..." She paused. "...dangers involved. Consequences. The personality matrix... Well..." She sighed. "That both explains why my emotions work the way they do and why it was an immediate response not to channel the energy into myself. And that..." She glared at them, anger immediately entering her voice. "DOES NOT even get suggested that we change it. Enhanced emotions or not, not a single one of you can suggest any alterations to any code involving my personality!"

Justicar actually had to hide a flinch when Amp exploded at them about not changing her personality, he walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder, "If anyone tried, I'd gut them." His voice was cold, but the threatening tone wasn't directed at her. He then turned to the technicians, flashing a glare that only his opponents ever received, "If ANYONE tries to alter Amp's programming without both her permission and my supervision, no amount of maintenance will fix what I'll do to you, AM I CLEAR!?" The technicians all nodded in unison, almost looking like a room full of bobble-heads.

Justicar walked over the the console and pulled three copies of Amp's scan file. He handed her the file, "Here, feel free to examine it closer when you have the time."  he then stored the second copy, and finally he put the third copy in his coat. "Let's go to Sensei's store and give him this file, then he can start working on your weapon." The two left the Science labs and departed for Masamune's shop.

Masamune was in the middle of sharpening the blade on his Naginata when Amp and Justicar arrived, "Ah, it's good to see you two again! How was the scan?" Justicar pulled a file out of his coat and handed it to Amp. "I'd ask her, it's her data."

[Prythian]

"The scan went fine, the results were as unusual as I expected." Amplify said, having had plenty of time to focus on another emotion to overwhelm the anger. The problem with those negative emotions is that once they were, well, amplified, it was hard to WANT to feel anything else. She put the scan down on the cabinet, allowing Masamune to look over it. "I plan on getting armor that siphons off power from that energy flow you see going through it. Not enough to break up the end result of the energy, just enough to give the armor an advantage. I want something different from the polearm, though." She pointed at the part of the scan that analyzed the resulting orbs. "While it would be best if it could work without these, I also want to be able to charge up the weapon's power with one of these. Think you can design it to accept these as power sources?"
